The undisputed NBA franchise is back for its 10th season. Last year, NBA 2K8 was the top selling basketball game on Xbox 360 and the NBA 2K series has been the #1 rated NBA simulation for seven years running. NBA 2K9 is the premier basketball game for serious players, and will deliver the most realistic, stylistic, and feature-rich simulation experience ever available in the NBA 2K franchise from game play to graphics, presentation and online features.

Best in the NBA2K series I've had every NBA2K game since the first one on Dreamcast and this is the best of the series. I highly recommend it. Animations are fluid, controls are solid, and there are a ton of customization options. New to this edition is the 5 on 5 gameplay.
whoaa...I cannot believe, this priceless excellent game I was not familiar with 2K series of NBA, but after getting this game from play-asia, and getting used with the control and the Right stick control, it's getting fun and exciting. The Iso motion is really experience though hard to master. after playing offline for several time, I tried to get online. eventhough my internet connection is not really good, most time I have no experience on lagging (different with PES series). the most exciting moment was to beat the 2K team member with hardest effort.
from the gameplay/game setting : it's very complex, after 3months playing, I have not master the slider setting, defence setting. But I love the challenge. From presentation, it's really good, eventhough some time the bug happens, with some player did not have any head on it, do know why, probably my Disc was slightly scratched perhaps.
Most realistic basketball sim so far Having played almost all the Live series since 98 and converted to 2K in 08...2k is kind of fun to pick up and play but takes a while to master. I suggest getting this if you can/want to invest or have enough time into this game otherwise Live may be better for casual ballers (and a more user friendly party game) of the two.
