description
Play a board game with your child, your spouse or your friends as Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy characters in Itadaki Street Special. This is an upgraded game that surpasses the old versions. This board game is similar Monopoly where you buy unowned properties on your way as the game progresses, make investments and reap your rewards as the game progresses.
There are numerous of boards to choose from, from the straight forward tutorial board taken from the castle area in Dragon Quest to Midgar in FF7 where the paths on the board changes if you press a switch to the Thundery Plains in FF10 where natural disasters strike the land, destroying your property and raising inflation rates.

Good Product
I was plesantly surprised to find this game included a detailed gameplay help card in English in addition to the original Japanese instruction manual. This game is very addictive and fun! It's easy to pickup and play even if you don't know any Japanese.
Though the game has many Monopoly like elements, the ability to purchase stock in another player's property, coupled with the ability to improve upon any piece of property owned without being required to own the whole color group, adds to the fun (and challenge!) of Itadaki Street Special. I expecially like how less expensive property is mingled next to high priced real estate - which keeps all the Boardwalk/Park Place type property from being exclusive to one area/color group. In addition, each board generally offers some new element to keep the game fun and exciting.

challenging game of strategy and chance
The game includes characters from both Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. There are two modes, normal play and sphere battle. In normal play, you get chance cards similar to those in Monopoly, except with a Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest twist to it. In sphere battle, each character has their own class and can earn certain types of spheres that they can use to affect their play. It's an awesome game of strategy and chance. Oh, and you can't forget about the stock system either! I never thought I'd actually play through all the maps and unlock everything, but the game certainly kept me hooked. The levels feature memorable places from both games, and I must say the music is very good too.

Funny Game
This is a very good game, where Square and Enix mix their characters from different games and put them in a board game.
This is a must have for Square-Enix fans !!

Itadaki Street Special
This is an excellent game. The same kind of play as the first 3 but more challanging! The second tournament is available after you clear the original version. The DQ & FF tournament is tough. It has a Sphere battle mode to really messy up your strategy. Depending on your characters occupation you can recieve different kinds of spheres. You'll need a guide book or help, its all in Japanese but well worth it. Look on line for the kind help of players. Enjoy!
