This is a very cool game if your a fan of naruto but if your a top ranked game player such as myself i would have to say its too short i beat the whole game in 4 days without the use of cheats. Your able to use over 21 of the main characters and most of my favorites and its easy to get lost into it but if you have played this for a long time and youhave a short attention span you will most likely get bored within the next year or two

this game is so .... If you are wondering why i think so its probably because it is it has lots of character, but the charaacters only have one special. I really think this game is fun at first but give it 1 week and a half and thats when it starts to become super lame. so if i were you i would buy a real naruto game game like naruto genkitou ninja taisen 4. over all i give this game a 0.5 out of 10

This one is pretty good. It really surpasses Naruto: Clash of Ninja 1, that's for sure. Has a lot more characters, specials aren't taking as long, and not as repetitive of what they say when they're fighting. This game is a lot better than the first.

Good: Smooth graphics and great characters to choose from. The action is good an feels like the Naruto show. A lot of combos for characters.
Bad: No real difference in characters. Really short and easy. The four player mode is terrible and takes no skill.

This really redeemed Naruto: Clash of Ninja 1. This one has a decent amount of players, each character is great in their own way and great specials. I am really good as Neji, Hinata, Sasuke, REALLY good as Orochimaru, and REALLY good as Sharingan Sasuke. Rock Lee with Gate of Life is awesome. This game is really cool

i got this and its really good!!!! im saving up to get part 3 [ not on this site ] and then part 4 [ on this site ] but overall its awesome. This gets 5 stars! This is the best anime fighting game on import ps2 I've played! I've just gotten this yesterday and I've gotta say, Narutimate Hero 2 ROCKS! With dozens of specials for the characters and customizable jutsus that just any character can equip (Itachi with Dynamic Entry!!! Stylish!)! If you are a Naruto fan, and you're waiting to get Narutimate Hero 3, but don't have alot of money to spend, get Narutimate Hero 2 first, it's at a low price, and it's pretty good! Thanks play-asia!

Fantastic Fun
I received my copy from the wonderful people at Play-Asia within 5 days to the uk and My god was it worth every penny.

It's addictive, It's fun, It has all the insanity of the show all packed into one tiny disk. Definatly worth getting.
Only complaint is that you have to unlock seperate Version of Kakashi and Sasuke to be able to use thier Sharingan

How it all began
This is the first Naruto game I ever had. It's simplicity is what makes it perfect. No complicated combos or controls to learn. Heck, you just need to press X to perform a special! I recommend any of the 4 Naurtos, they're all incredible games.

Great Party Game
This game is awesome! Although 3 and 4 is out, this one is only $30, which is half the price! In total, i only paid 50 bucks (including free loader and shipment), and is well worth the money paid. There is about 20 char and is fun to play with people with you. you can also play with 3 people. But if you use an American Gamecube, you'll need Freeloader disk and an extra memory card. Jap. saves and American gamecube saves CANNOT be saved onto the same memory card. Although the moves are pretty simple, there are different combos and the counter hits makes a big difference in the game, which is good. The characters' supers are really awesome, which includes Kakashis's chidori and you can even open gates with Rock Lee. Sadly, the game doesnt incule a few char. in the anime it was based on, such as Shino or Temari (the fan girl? not sure about name) If you haven't tried any of the naruto series, you should start on this.

Very Good
This game is great! It has great characters, nice stages, and plenty of action for the whole family! The only thing i didn't like about it was the concept of having 2 of the same characters in the character select mode. Overall its descent, the sound tracks are good too. Thank you Play-Asia, i will save money now to reserve Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 now.

For all you Naruto fans out there (myself), this is the newest improvement of NH 1 for the Playstation 2. The graphics have been smoothed out and the jutsus are getting more and more awesome. If you haven't gotten the first one yet, get it. And then come back and get this one. Eventhough the chakra attacks are a bit more simple, it still is the best out of the two because of its wider range of gameplay. The story mode is great and the characters seem to get more and more close to what Kishimoto had started. Boy, if you don't get this game, you aren't living life. So get it.

This was the game that introduced me to the Naruto anime. This game plays noting like the DBZ games. This game plays lot more like Super Smash Bros. Only this game offers offers much better gameplay. First let me just say that everything else everyone has said about this game kicking ass is true. I thought it was going to be a DBZ rip off, but it totally tears the envelope in half with originality. If you were to take Ninja + Budokai + Super Smash Brothers and smash them together, you would get this game. It has a really simple game mechanic but in that simplicity lies more depth than any other fighter. Never have i seen so many moves packed into one button, lol. Ofcourse there are other buttons, but Circle will be your weapon of choice for this slugfest. The play depth is really amazing and you get that feeling that you really are a ninja when you just teleport out of what would be a brutal attack and leave behind a log, then counter with a little ass-whipping of your own. If you like the anime or if you just like ninja in general, then this si the game for you! A lot of people like to compare this game with Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 and declare that one is better than the other. Doing so is like comparing Smash Brothers to Street Fighter, they are totally different games. GNT3 is primarily a fun, fast paced party game that requires little in the way of "tactics". However, NH2 is a more traditional fighting game that requires timing and some use of your surroundings. The combo system is simple and fun, but this simplicity can be overcome by a good player that knows how to "kawarami" mid-combo. The special moves are simply fantastic, but the button mashing involved in pulling them off is tedious. The graphics and styling are based on the Naruto manga, and not so much on the anime. This creates a very unique look that I personally prefer to most cell-shaded games on the market.

Troublesome, but WORTH IT!!!
This is my very fist import, and i had to customize my Playstation2 to run it. I also had to buy a new TV, cause my old one didn`t support the NTSC-system of the game. But Naruto-fan or not, trust me ....IT IS WORTH IT!!!!
The Graphics are almost similar to the Anime, same voices, same Jutsus, same Fighting Stages!
The japanese language is a little bit troublesome for a gaijin like me, but with the gamefaqs you´ll handle the storymode.

The Best Anime Fighter Around
If you have any doubts in your mind, then get rid of them. This game is everything you want and more. Being my first imported game i was a bit hesitant but my decision to buy t was well made. The graphics are awsome and make the cut scenes and delivery of the game just incredible. The fighting engine is not the most elaborate but it is one of the best making this game to appeal to anime fans and non anime fans. The story mode is awsome and you can execute all your favorite moves from all your favorite characters. Get the game and see for yourself.

With this game, a Naruto fan will have loads and loads of fun. There is a great RPG mode, which you can use 33 characters and change their status as they grow their fighting experience, you get jutsus along the game and then you can make fun and weird jutsu combinations for each character! Like equipping Sasuke's Katon Goukakyuu and his Shishi Rendan on Sakura! Yeah, I had tons of fun with this mode...and it's relatively big. =]
Also, you can make missions and score more money and experience with them. Depending on which rank of the mission, the harder it is to accomplish, but the rewards get even better and better. So cool...
About the fights...they're unbelievable. There are 33 characters, 27 of them have super special attacks called 'Ougi's. You hit triangle from one to three times (depending on which level of chakra you want to use) and then hitting circle, you'll get into a beautiful cutscene, which you have to do certain commands to continue the cutscene and deal lodas of heavy damage on your opponent! Also, the graphics are great (I simply LOVE the battlefields, they are very pretty and really big...also, you can 'teleport' from the foreground to the background! It's so cool...) and the sound effects, background music, character voices...everything is perfect.

The only problem you'll have is getting used to the gameplay (it's kinda hard to control the character at first, but hey, you can change the controller configurations for the way you think you'll be 'safer') and the Japanese language. I can't read any Japanese, so I used the FAQs at www.gamefaqs.com ...
I guess that's it...buy Narutimate Hero 2 or you'll regret it later! To make you feel even more happy, I will tell you some characters that are really nice to play with...Kisame...Itachi...Sandaime...Kyuubi Naruto...Kabuto...Sealed Orochimaru...Tsunade..Shizune...OMG all characters are fun! This is my first Naruto game (Big Series Fan) and I most say, most anime based games dissapoint me, for the fights or the RPG do not match the real thing, and I end up VERY frustrated. Naruttimett was a HUGE exception. It sticks nicely to spirit of the series, and the colored-manga-like-Graphics (yup, i just made that up) still hold enough 3d to amaze you. The battles are also good, a little hard to grasp justsus, but once you get hold of the technique you can see beatifully animated techniques including most of characters signature moves (Sexy no Jutsu, Summoning no Jutsu and many more). Lots of characters too, and it keeps the body languaje of all of them (Hinata would not be Hinata without hands up front) nice RPG with many mini games too. Well my only problem right now is languaje, for I know NONE japanese, but that proves that you can move foreward just by anime or manga knowledge.
5 stars for this one, i hope an English version of this comes out SOON, for i would sure like to know what are they talking.

The best Narutoish Game Ever!
I, as a Naruto Fan, when I first heard about this game, I got really excited to buy it. And that's what I did. I didn't have a Japanese Playstation2, I only had the English one. So, I sold the English with all my games and bought the Japanese only because of this game...
I can give you five reasons for buying this game:
~ There are many types of battle modes;
~ There are a lot of characters. If I'm not mistakes, there are 33;
~ There is a great RPG mode;
~ The graphics are insanely well done;
~ The soundtrack is also great.
But the things I like most in Narutimett Hero 2...are the Ougi Attacks (Special Attacks). You watch some scenes of your character using its best abilities. It is really incredible.
I encourage all of you to buy it.

This game showcases the greatness in the Naruto series. The fighting is left to right, which I think is better then Naruto:Gekitou Ninja Taisen, with a 3-D map, because it has all the camera issues. It has many characters, all of which basically play different. There is a sense of balance, well minus Itachi, and its a great party game, even if it is only two players. Buy it!

I think it might be difficult to play if you don't know much Japanese. Any fan of the show should be able to recognize what's happening in the story mode, but the winning conditions of each battle are harder to guess. However, there are a couple of walkthroughs on gamefaqs.com that should make it much easier.

Naruto, Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2 is by far the most enjoyable beat em up ive played.

While the controls are significantly less complex than some other titles, (e.g. soul calibre), the game actually has a surprising amount of depth. There are loads of combos to learn and link, and the awesome visuals and brilliantly smooth feel of the game will keep you playing for ages.

The distinct individuality of the different character's fighting styles is really impressive, particularly if your'e a fan of the manga and anime - being able to play and master your favourite characters is incredible!!!

the game is really good, though some characters are... umm.. ridiculously weak ( kakashi is supposed to be a pro!) but the animations are VERY nice especially Naruto's and Kakashi's. only prob is that the story mood is hard to understand without english (you'll get it after a few fights though)

Best fighting game I've ever played.
I actually played this game before I even saw the anime. And I have to say this game is awesome. It's simple to play, yet you still need a strategy to win. It's a great party game because 4 players can get in on the action. And after playing this game I started watching the anime and have seen about 104 episodes so far. If your a naruto fan this game is worth having. And even if you never even heard of it, I suggest you give it a try. Now, only a few more weeks till part 3 comes out.

Easy to navigate despite being in Japanese, Progressive Scan compatible, and it's from one of my favorite animes. One problem for me was the really dumbed down battle system.

i was wondering, im a huge fan of naruto, but a little rusty on my japanese, i was wondering if its easy or difficult to play with no or little english in this game.

Best Fighting Game
This game is one of the best fighting games that I've played. The numerous numbers of backgrounds that you can choose in the vs and practice mode are awesome not to mention it has many layers.

The graphics are very good, resembling the anime character almost perfectly. There's not much else to say about the game but to buy it, you won't be disappointed at all!!

I really like this program. It has a programming disc with this, and it works great! It shows how to code/model, and gives you examples! Defintely recommended!

Great but Not as great as SSBM
Graphics are great, sound is great, gameplay is smooth and easy to pick up. However there are too few combos, and if you are alone this game can get boring once you have obtained everything.

The game is very good and graphics is very good as well. I personally didnt think much of it because its an "anime/manga" game and many of them are there to attract existing fans just because its based off of that series. But this game goes beyond that and its very good.
BTW, Loony I thin you are being a little too harsh on Shako_farhad there. I know enough japanese to get by (this game and others) and I am an American. Shako_farhad really shouldnt have made that comment because in itself it was "stupid" because its a japanese game and so it should be in japanese and if its in English it would be a US release not Japan. Its like japanese people wanting some US PC games to have japanese subtitles which is just absurd.

Good, but not Great
I admit playing this game has its strengths such as RPG mode, but I must say when you have friends over and want to play a fun game for everybody, Naruto Genkei Taisen 2 (and soon to be 3) is much more fun because of Gamecube's four players mode and better smash brothers-type gameplay. I recommend waiting for Naruto GT3 to come out sometime this winter if you want a fun multiplayer game.

Last year i bought Naruto Narutimett Hero 1 out of the blue and fell in love with it. Now I'm hoked and I cant stop playign NNH2!! This games is no doubt the best PS2 game on this site as of now. The cel shading is awsome. The gameplay is out of comtroll., and the number od characters just keep on increasing with each new title! If you only have $70 to blow on your cred card....I STRONGLY recomend buying this!

Best Naruto sequel
Too bad they changed the special attack system, the rythm based system was better. But the Rpg mode is very complete indeed and will please everyone who likes the manga (the japanese manga I mean)

Well, I am not impressed, this game was by far one of the most fun I have played sense Smash Brothers. All my buddies (who are Naruto fans btw) are huge fans of this game as well. There is a massive cast of characters, more then what it hints at, unlockables are Ochimaru (sorry for any typos), Sharingan Kakashi, Sharigan Sasuke, Mizuki (the guy from the FIRST Naruto episode) and Nine-Tails Naruto. Waiting for the third one now, which is suppost to have even more characters.... "gulp", any way, this is a GREAT game, single player is.... sort of long, animations (character design), everything is true to the actual series. If you are a fan of Naruto, buy this ASAP, if not, but you are a fan of Smash Bros, or just a fighter fan in general, pick this up. One of the great things about this game is it is easy to pick up and play, and only gets better the deeper you get into it. This is a buy, or just wait for the third, which is basicly this one... with more characters!

Ok I like Naruto and I played the game a year ago before I even saw the anime, and I must say that this game is really good. But not as good as it could have been. I think that the 3rd game will probably be the best one in the series, but if you’re looking for a fighting game only on the cube (the ps2 on is not the same thing, it kinda sucks compared to this one) then pick this little baby up. I wouldn’t say that this is a super smash brother’s killer, well it might be to some of the Naruto fan boys out there. But I wouldn’t hold your breath over it…~

Super Smash What?
This is by far the best fighting I've ever played period. It's a simple game you can just pick up and play, but it's also possible to get very in depth into the gameplay. There's tons of extras also. If you are a Naruto fan or if just have a gamecube you need to buy this game and Naruto Gekitou NINja Taisen 3.

Wonderful! It's exquiste. I loved it deeply. My fav Fighter. ^^ It's really fun, and has lots to do, and lots of cool characters. Many different styles, from Sakura's long range, to Gaara's all around incredible-powers. The graphics are nice, the playcontrol is smooth, the voices are beautiful, AND user friendly!

The Perfect Game
This is simply the best Naruto game (for the GameCube) for fans world wide. The cel-shaded graphics are amazing and to top that off the its a solid fighting game. My only complaint is that I wish there were more playable characters, the show itslef has an abundance of characters that could have been plugged into the game:( I would DEFINITELY recommend this game to any and everyone. A must have.

Faithful to the series, great game even for the unfamiliar
I have been very impressed with this game. I like it a lot better than Smash Bros Melee. The graphics prove that the GC can compete with the other consoles, and the gameplay is fantastic. I use the Freeloader to play, and that works like a charm. Also, if you do a google search you can find people who have translated some of the game menus. So even if you don't read Japanese, you'll be able to figure out the game. Familiarity with the anime/mange will increase your appreciation for the game, but even if you are unfamiliar with those you will still get a kick out of this. I hope they make a sequel!

I bought my gamecube souly to import this game and it was worth every penny. Anyone looking for an AWESOME 3d fighter based off an anime, you dont need to look any further than this game. My only gripe is that you cant play as Anko and sometimes its hard to get the character to turn around to face the enemy in bad situations.

I just got this game today and have been playing it for 8 hours straight. It is the greatest game ever. There are so many characters to unlock with unique specials and different attacks (My favorite special is when Rock Lee opens the Chakra gates and does Ura Renge). There is honestly nothing really wrong with this game. The only thing one could ask for is Ten Ten as a playable character, but you can't have everything, can you?

Naruto: Gekitou Taisen 2, is on of the best game out there, based on the infamous technology of cel-shading. On the other hand, this technology suits better for this kind of games.

Very impressive
I understand that characters are missing in this game, but you can not cram 50+ characters in a game and expect to release it in less than 3 years. I was pretty impressed in finding Mizuki (for the ones that do not remember he is the white hair dude in the first and second episodes) in the game. There is a ton of stuff to unlock here. I have not had this much fun in a fighting game since Soul Calibur II (no comparison been made, Soul Calibur II is a much better tactical fighting game than Naruto).

The special moves are very easy to perform no kind of moves here. Special moves are performed by a press of button.

You should not expect balance between the characters. Rock Lee rocks like he is supposed to rock, and for you people asking, yes you can open the gates with Rock Lee.

The amount of detail in this game is what really impressed me. I would find myself telling my friend “did you see that, very cool” every five minutes.

If you are a Naruto fan this is definitely a 5 star game, if you have never seen the anime this is probably a 3 or 4 star game, because of very simplistic controls.

Well, the second Game of Naruto is much, much better than the first. Almost every Naruto Character is there, but some are missed. Temari, Sound-Nins, the Guy with the Bugs in his Body, then the Girl from Rock Lee & Hyuga Neji´s Team, Kabuto, The 3rd Hokage, Choji, the other Sensei´s from the other Teams .. and that´s it. I know, it´s too much to ask. Orochimaru is there, too. And that´s cool. So, buy this Game if you´re a Naruto Fan. It´s awesome!

the only reason uchiha itachi and most of those other characters arent in there is because their following the story line,not the manga, and they just wanted to basically put in the main characters...their not going to put in hokage,there wasnt an ep where he fought in before the sasuke and gaara fight (thats where the game went up to) ^^

I got this game a couple months ago...
And I think it's really awesome, I'm not sure if any non-Naruto fans will enjoy it as much but I'm sure fans of the game will really enjoy this game. It feels like you're watching the show at times.

Naruto - Sugoi ne?
A great game. Simply put, masterfully made. There's no flaw in the gameplay (not a SINGLE glitch), the character models are done remarkably well, and it has countless hours of replay value. The only drawback is the game leaves out some pretty big characters (Temari, Choji (though he makes a cameo), Ten-Ten, All 3 Sound Nin, the 3rd Hokage (man, that would've been something else, especially after seeing episode 71!), Jounins like Asuma and Anko (though Anko runs a shop in the game), and no little "gift" characters such as say... Uchiha Itachi. Although... I did think it was crazy to leave out the best character of all - Jaraiya, good ole ero senin. But of course, that's asking alot. Maybe next time ^_^. Regardless. this game is incredible if you even have a remote interest in Naruto or fighting games, BUY THIS GAME!!!!

I'm not much into video games or anime...but when i saw my friends playing Naruto 2, I had to see what it was. Everyone is correct in saying that this game is all that, and in my opinion much more. I got a Gamecube just for this game and I personally think it was worth it! Ich habe dem Spiel zwar "nur" 4 Sterne gegeben aber das auch nur, weil für mich der Umfang immernoch zu wenig ist und die Musik auch nicht so mein Fall ist. Fans werden aber sicher voll auf ihre Kosten kommen. An Charaktereb stehen genügend bereit, dennoch wurden einige weggelassen, was wohl zugunsten des Nachfolgers passierte. Die Charas wurden alle sehr gut ausgearbeitet, sehen gut aus und bewegen sich auch dem jeweiligen Chara entsprechend. Jeder hat die für ihn typische Jutsu und Spezialattacke bekommen. Wobei Rock Lee neben Konoha Senpu auch noch Ura Renge machen kann o_O
Soundtechnisch gefällt mir das Spiel, wie bereits angedeutet, nicht besonders, das liegt nämlich am Soundtrack, der nicht aus dem Anime übernommen wurde. Denn die Lieder aus dem Game können mit denen nicht mithalten.
Die Steuerung geht auch leicht von der Hand, man könnte es mir SSBM vergleichen. Ein Druck auf die X-Taste und der Chara führt, bei voller Chakra, seine Special aus.
Modis sind auch genügen vorhanden. Neben den Standarts, wie P1vsP2, P1vsCom kann auch man auch zu viert an einem Kampf teilnehmen. Auch sehr schön ist der Story-Mode, in dem sehr viel gesprochen wird, nur leider nicht in unserer Muttersprache :\
Dies ist nur kleiner Teil den das Spiel bietet, zu erwähnen wär noch der Shop, also kauft es euch vor allem, wenn ihr Naruto-Fans seid.

I am a big fan of Naruto and this game represents the show perfectly. All of the characters movements and phrases come right from the show. The cel shading is very nice and makes the characters look just like the drawings and art from the anime. All of the supers are major moves of the characters and are recreated perfectly. This game relies heavily on combos. I reccomend this game to any Naruto and fighting game fan.

naruto 2 can't get any better
i orderd the game coz i was watching anime so of coures i couldn't stop playing it, naruto 2 slamed naruto 1 in the face and took the trophy home.
as u play u get money and get 2 by players, stages, and its endless. the fights r tougher then ever. thanx 2 play asia it came in no time :)

I never played it but i read the faqs & saw the media in ign.com & stuff & I can say that the game will conquor ALL !!!! the games OUT THERE !!! So I ordered the game on Sunday, so i must wait for it =( But... I can't WAIT to get my hands on it =)=)=)=)

coming from north america, we usually dont run into games like this one. i've had this game for a while now, and i must say it totally rocks. the overall graphics and gameplay were what blew me away...

I have had this game for some time now, I am still amazed at the great cel shading...much better than other attempts at cel shading some games have.Although at first it just seems like the game play is just pressing A or B before your opponent does, after me and my friends mastered it(doesnt take much time) we learned that there is much more (knowing when to Disapear time speacials and what moves to use against certain opponents)Overal it is a great game.

Although the button configuration is just a tad simple in comparison to other figting games, its still really fun and a must have for fans of the series.

Thia game is amazing! I'm a huge Naruto fan and this game represents the anime perfectly! The action is fast paced, and when playing against someone who is as experienced at it as you, the fighting actually looks and feels like the fighting in the anime.

The kawamiri(body-switching) jutsu is really what seperates this game from all the other fighters. This paricular counter speeds up the gameplay and adds to the tension. As far as everyone elses' moves... youll have a hard time trying to find a move that its the anime and not in the game. Even ithe not so well known attacks are included. Examples are: Sasukes pile driver that he uses on Orochimaru, Naruto's underground kagebushin no jutsu that he uses on a certain somebody, Neji's 360 defense technique that can even deflect shurikens and kunais, and sharingan kakashi can even copy specials that are used against him!
This game is the best anime to game conversion i have ever played! With a large cast of characters, a ton of unlockables, and an easy to understand interface even without the knowledge of japanese, this is a perfect pick for an import. And if your a Naruto fan, you should quit reading reviews and just get this if u havnt already!!!!

This is the best game money can buy!!!If your not sure go to ign.com they have great movies on it. I love everything about this game!!!

Naruto 2 - Button bashing at it's best.
On first receiving the game, it became quite evident that unless you knew Japanese, it would take some time to learn what to press to do what. Nonetheless, after some time I grappled the art of the menu screen and the various options.

One of the best things about this game is the superb cel-shaded graphics. Games like Budokai 1 & 2 have failed to produce a fighting game that uses this type of graphics to its full, while Viewtiful Joe have shown us the meaning of cel-shading! Naruto 2 comes very close to achieving that of Viewtiful Joe's, and wipes the floor with Budokai. The backgrounds are detailed and interesting (i.e. Hinata hiding behind a tree in the background!), and the animation is some of the sweetest I've seen in a fighting game for some time. I can guarantee you'll be stunned...^_^

The combat system itself only becomes a let down when you realise that many characters share similar combos, and the ease of pulling off the big moves edges in. It's not the most challenging of games, but the combat system is such that anyone can have a go (i.e. Super Smash Bros Melee); making the multiplayer mode a great laugh! The 4 player battles are a great addition, and give the game that little extra.

I haven't fully played through the various story modes, but at a glance, it seems as if there's quite a bit to do. There's a shop where you can buy various skills & extras, similar to Budokai. Nothing special, but it's nice to have something like that in it. Lifespan wise, it'd keep a Naruto fan entertained for quite some time; but for the average person looking for a fighting game, you'd be better off with Soul Calibur. Better than Budokai 1 & 2 put together, but the simplicity of the game may be a let down to some.

Woohoo! Lacking? NOPE!
I've had the game for a few weeks and it's amazing! The graphics are superb and the gameplay/combos are very simple (just using A + B for normal attacks). At first I thought that this was a downer... but it's very fast paced and you'll have fun tossing kuni and shuriken at you're enemies with one button press. There's a lot more to the game than meets the eye. There are tons of powerups, extras, levels, and characters you can buy at Anko's shop which get ridiculously expensive as the game goes on. Some people might get upset right away when they assume there's no three player mode. "I want to get rid of that computer player! Don't wanna have to beat him to death at the beginning of the round!" There's actually an extra you can buy at the shop to enable three player mode. Every concern I had was relieved as I played further into the game. I haven't played the first game, but this one has it all. ***** WOOHOOO! Not LACKING AT ALL!

This game is amazing
Simple yet deep. That is the best thing you can ask for a fighter.

The best thing tho is 4 player fighting. It is insane...INSANE..I can't really explain it any other way. I recommend this not only to the fans of anime (actually obligatory really - -;;) but for fans of fighting games, especially smash bros.

I just started playing it yesterday and I see that it's a clear improvement from the pretty basic characters in Naruto 1. There are a whole lot of characters and the've been more uniquely designed for the game to last longer. The story mode length has also been increased as well as a WHOLE lot of other functions have been added.

It's already finally out, supposedly the gates can be opened by Rock Lee and hopefully you can get your enemies within Neji's range of Hakke for the 64 hit combo...someone on here said they better have the sharingan this time, he should go back and play the first one again because it was in there, unless he is talking about sasuke, in which case he might as well have the cursed seal..but this is worth your bang for the buck, it has everyone, even ino yo lol

I just got this game today!!!!! It's the best game I've ever played! I like this over Smash Bros.! The characters are so cool! This game has nice variety when it comes to fighting. The characters very detailed. The 4 player fighting system is awesome! Imagine 4 people fighting and then someone busts out a special, the screen displays just that person's special and then afterwards you resume fighting. Rock Lee can transform into the even stronger Rock Lee (When he opens the gates). There's more to write about but I'll allow others to do that. Thanks to play-asia I got what I want for Christmas! Thanks also to the many Naruto Forums out there. Narutofan and Naruto Online to just mention a couple =) This game is worth buying!!!!!!!!!!

First game was awesome, and to answer that one guys question, the first one had sharingan if you knew how with kakashi-sensei.

Anyhow, incase you guys haven't realized by now, writing REVIEWS of a game you've never played, and saying its going to be good, dosen't help the buyer much, please play this game first ;) I personally haven't played this, so can't say a damned thing right now.

The perfect Naruto game!!!!

I haven't played this game....
but from what I can tell it looks soooo good! I like how the graphics are cel-shaded. The graphics on this game look a lot better than the ones for the Playstation 2 Naruto game. I'll probably update once I get the game, but so far so good! I know this game will exceed my expectations! I just hope they release more media!

Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2
The 1st game was so much fun to have it was hard to put down! True there was 10 characters in the first one, but they where moded in so much like the characters that they all punched, talked , reacted, and even treated eachother like the characters in the show. The second game is said to have at least 21 characters not including the hidden ones, a new mode added :4 player mode. My only complaint from the first game was lack in backrounds and interactivaty with them. I have it preordered and know it will be a great game just like the first one, even when there was those who dismissed it because of amount of characters. The game was only to test how well people would respond to it and get it out as the first Naruto game. Part two will use destroy no justsu!

With more characters, backgrounds, play modes and even a 2 vs 2 option, this is a must-have for fans of Naruto, and a great and fast fighter for others as well.
