I'm a Bleach fan so I decided to check this game out. It was great! Ignore skeptical reviews and get this game even if you aren't a Bleach fan. Great and easy to pick up and learn for any who love fighting games(notably the Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen series), anyway, buy this game!!!!

A good game for fans of the series
I am a Bleach fan so I figured I would give it a shot, and was surprised that it was good. It is a new fighting system than other games so it takes some getting used to, but it is worth it to learn. You don't have a long list of pre-scripted combos, which may be a turnoff to some, but it forces you to make your own combos and get a rhythm in your movements if you want to be good. While it isn't Naruto 4 we must remember that it isn't trying to be. It is a style of fighter that breaks the mold of other ones and is actually good. All in all its a definite buy for bleach fans and a buy for fighting fans not afraid to try something new.

I bought this game and I loved it from the very beginning! The menue is in English so there can't be any problems. Ok, maybe that u don't understand the scenario mode but that's not really necessary!! I can't read Japanese and EVEN I was able to unlock every character! and they are so extremely cool!! each of them! I just can say: like bleach? LIKE THE GAME!!

Perfect for any Bleach fan
If your a fan of Bleach, like I am then this game is a must have for you. While the fighting is a bit stiff, the inclusion of reiatsu, bankai, and shuunpo really complete the feel as though you have stepped into the Bleach Universe. Not to mention the game itself looks amazing. Lots of unlockables and most of the characters from the Soul Society Arc are selectable as characters. Any Bleach fan will be thrilled. However if your not a fan, then you would probably do better looking at a different title.

This game is good for fans and is a fairly enjoyable game but doesnt touch the stlye of naruto on the gamecube. Unfortuantely this game has limited combos and isnt such a fluent fighter in style. However, it is worth getting if u like bleach and is promising in its potential for a future gamecube release. overall a gud game but some gamers or fans may find it a little disappointing

Bleach GC is awazing! If your looking to buy it, don't listen to these n00bs that give it bad reviews. The battle system is easy to pick up and most rewarding when you pull off a special attack or combo with your favorite character. The thing that scared me the most about buying it was the reviewers saying it was 2d, ITS NOT 2D LIKE MK2 OR STREET FIGHTER! You are able to stafe up and down in a full 360 degree motion. This, however, is not to be compared to Soul Calibur 2, which is why some would call it 2d. The only 2 downfalls i found were: 1. The mouths do not move when speaking. and 2. The Bankai's and special moves are hard to pull off because they are so easy to block/dodge. Overall i say buy it, but if you want something faster, go with bleach for the Nintendo DS.

I'm a french player, i thinks Bleach GC is bad..because the gameplay is so bad !!! But the personnages and bonus is realy good ! A game is not only that.. the gameplay is important..

Only For Bleach Fans
Decent Game, not to bad. You'd really have to be a Bleach Fan to really enjoy the game. Only things i didn't like were the fact that you can't go bankai as you play and stay that way which is what I thought you could do. The Mouths don't move but people shouldn't even mention that since its not bad at all. Other than that and the fact that the story is only images, I'd recommend it for the Bleach Collector like myself.

Great Game
This game is great, i just got it today and it is not what I expected. With all these bad reviews saying that this game is garbage i thought that i shouldnt get this game, but DONT LISTEN TO THEM! The game doesnt move as slow as people say, there are less combos than naruto but there are other things that make up for that such as bankais and other special moves. Sure the mouths dont move but thats really the only downfall. I enjoy this more and GNT4 and even if your not a huge Bleach fan you should still pick this game up

This is an awesome game, maybe that is because I am a hardcore Bleach fan. Although there are no movements of characters in the story mode, it is still cool to listen to the real Japanese voice actors. Also, the narration misreads english titles sometimes, which is kind of funny.

Stylish Fighter
A stylish fighing game with simple controls. Easy to navigate options and wonderful cel graphics.
I'm not into the Anime and doubt I ever will be. This won't make me a Bleach fan, but as a fighter I enjoyed it.
Nice simple combo system was a welcome break from my usual Virtua Fighter games.
Looking forward to getting the DS version now!

What A Missed Opportunity
Thrilled after experiencing the continued advancement showed by the naruto series and the considerable impact that the anime and manga had on my spirits. upon loading this up i almost cried.
as much as i love the subject matter i cannot find anything to love about this game. ill try again when i have more time but if you want a fighter try naruto 3 or 4 before going anywhere near this. id even go as far as to say that naruto 1 is better.

i found bleach on psp to be a bit better than this. but alas the bar has trully been raised for anime bassed fighters by naruto 4 which is not perfect but far superior to this effort.

GREAT GAME...
...IF YOU WANT TO FALL ASLEEP THAT IS!!! Very slow game, not many moves, limited combos. I can't believe that I waited a long time for this junk. Totally not recommended, especially for KOF fans.

Very disappointed...
I was extremely disappointed when playing this game. The music isn't new, the graphics is... flat. Good textures, but they couldn't even make more animations or even lipsynch?

There are few modes in this game, and compared to Naruto GNT 4 there's less to do and you get bored with the game far more easily.

The controls are complicated and hard to understand, and they're very... choppy and lacks smoothness. It's hard to get long chains of combos, unless you add in superattacks. It's far too easy to get reiatsu in the game, and to get up from the ground when you're knocked down is a bother each time. To move sideways can be hard as well.

The characters have some interesting attacks and fighting styles, I'll give it that. The password feature is interesting as well.

But overall, I felt it was a complete waste of money and I'll rather be stuck playing a game that's far more finished and not just thrown together because of Bleach's popularity.

A very good bleach game on GC!!!!!
I know that many Bleach fans will buy this game and will be dissapointed, because they will expect something more like NGNT. Well, this game is not an easy pick up party game like the natuto ones. But, it has more depth, more combos, more strategy.
The fighting system is a little difficult to get used to, and at first it will feel slow. But adjust to it and you"ll soon begin to understand it. It reminds a bit of SC but the bankai(slow down) mode makes it unique. All in all, only fighting games fans will really appreciate it cause of the difficulty curve.

The only gripes i have, are the lack of mouth movement during speech, and the poor quality of the cinematic specials. Lets hope those are impoved till the next version.

wow, as I'm one of the real Bleach Fans, i totally love this game. Graphis are nice and that "7-combo-stuff" is completely wrong, as you can do a 99-combo with using reiatsu and your ban-Kai. Plus Aizen is in it, which makes it pretty amazing. For me, it has not enough character as Izuru Kira and Rangiku Matsumoto are missing. Nja, I haven't finished it yet , but it will still be fun finishing up my friends with the one and only: Ichimaru Gin !

Sega doesnt deserve it!
The game obviously lacks the animation part and fails to use the full potential of the anime. The graphic for the story mode is a picture just moving up and down when they could have simply cut out parts from the anime which really bugs me. The gameplay is really bad and the specials for each character is repetitive. Give the BLEACH title to 8ing because they can make a great game with anime unlike SEGA who obviously failed to do so.

Maybe the worst fighting game of videogame history
Well, I received this game yesterday and I hoped that it would be a good game, but it wasn't. In spite of the fact that it is made by Sega, the game is boring, about graphics: they even don't talk!!! is it so difficult to do that? It doesn't have many fighting options. It is nearly impossible to do a bankai because it takes about 2 seconds to hit the enemy and the other character can escape or bit you easily. If you are a collector gamer and a Hypermegafreak of Bleach, buy it. Otherwise buy Naruto 4.

i havent yet gotten my game but when i was reading a reveiw i saw that somone said there was online play is this true? also i watched a clip and the computer got a 13 hit combo so whats with this 7 stuff?and i guess my fainal question is...is this a game that you would have fun playong with a friend like naruto or just like a good for a week type of thing?

not bad but not the best
This is a pretty good game but it isn't exactly the best fighter out there as stated already. Personally the game looks more towards fans of the series than fans of fighter games. So if you like bleach and you have the money pick this one up, but if you arent to familiar with the series it may not be the best choice.

I like the game
I agree, the gameplay is a little lacking, and it takes some getting used to, but it's still good. The combos they show are only the main combos and there are more to discover on your own. In the next game, they could make the characters move more fluidly and add a more assortment of moves, and probably add bankai as a playable option. But for right now, this works.

The gameplay is bad, but the grapics are nice
The reason why i bought this game, is that im a huge bleach fan. My first impression of the game is that the graphics of the game are very cool, just like the anime. Even the original voices are there. Thats hot! The text is part in english and some in japanese, so the game is very easy to navigate. After 3 days i have beaten the game, everything is unlocked. I have expected more from this game. The secret characters arent that secret. About the gameplay, i think the characters move very stiff, i dont have to feel that i actually controlling the characters. The combo's are so limited, 7 hits max (not including bankai). Its more a hack and slash game then a fighting game. Also the moves and special moves are so minimum, about 3 special moves per character. The pause between combo's is too long, its very frustrating, if you are a combo freak. Furthur the bankai cinematic is very cool. Too bad the characters mouths wont open when they say something. That makes the game and the characters with no emotions. Of course you cant compare this game with naruto. They are two different types of games. But if you have to choose between these two games, Naruto will be the winner. Naruto has a solid gameplay and beautiful graphics. (2 points) and Bleach got beautiful graphics but no gameplay (1 point). For this first Bleach game on the gamecube, its not that bad, but ive expected a little bit more from this. I also think this game will be more interesting for bleach fans than for people who are looking for a solid cell shaded fighter on the cube.

What's with people and the instant comparison to the Naruto series? This game ISN'T Naruto and has nothing to do with it. Why would you want another Naruto game anyway? I like this game because it's Bleach of course and it's also something new. It's a game that takes time learning how to play effectively, not something you get right off the bat. However, there is a limited combos, but I have found there to be more than what's listed in the manual. Overall, great first installment.

I know you cant compare this game to Naruto but if you do own Naruto this game is a few dozen of steps back from what Naruto offers!

Each character has just 4 ,4 button combos that at most make 5 or 6 hits! Most matches will be about charging and doin special moves than of actually pulling amazing combos.
