In Egg Mania: Eggstreme Madness, you take control of a lively egg who must catch blocks and power-ups as they fall from the sky. By running and jumping around the playing area, you must build a stack of blocks to reach the goal. It is a race to the finish against a human or computer-controlled opponent.
To beat your opponent, you must be both quick and careful. A poorly constructed platform will crumble, leaving you to bob in the water like a lost dingy. The water is always rising, so you can never rest in this puzzler.
Building blocks aren't the only thing falling from the sky during a round of Egg Mania. There is also a good variety of power-ups and weapons, which the game calls Trick Bricks. Some Trick Bricks will fill empty spaces of the play-field and others will make you go faster. You can even toss bomb Trick Bricks across the screen to slow down your opponent. Trick Bricks are a big factor in the game, especially in later levels.
