Review
Great game, a bit hard tough, but worth the challenge.
Some hidden stuff I couldn't my hands on. Still trying.
Only 4 stars because of the not-so-clever split screen when you play multi ( why not having the same as micromachines?).
Long live the Senile Team.

Not impressed
I was not at all impressed with the way Redspotgames handled the delays with this game's release.
Now that it finally arrived, I can say the Deluxe Edition is OK to have the soundtrack disc, but the color manual, "secret artworks", "deleted scenes" and "Huge" stickers are not anything special.
The extra content is a few CG images printed in the manual, whoop-de-doo...
The "huge" stickers are a blatant lie. The few stickers included are the size of the CD case, and are printed on cheap paper. Yes they are glossy, but they are cheap paper. One of my stickers has a 1cm tear direct from the factory, and the others are slightly folded where they evidently got closed in the CD case.
Redspotgames also posted on their website that they'd do something "special" for the preorders to make up for the repeated release delays. I guess PlayAsia customers weren't entitled to anything "special".
The game is fun enough though. Maybe worth $20.

Dec 09 Dreamcast release
A package was in my mailbox this morning with a big 'RedSpot Games' sticker across the front, indeed inside was Rush Rush Rally DX, along with the game were some nice glossy stickers and an advert for Wind and Water Puzzle Battles. The box art and casing of the box are of the usual high standards expected from Independant developers, everything is done in a professional and clever way to avoid Sega's copyright infringment on the Dreamcast logo and typeface, the CD's are printed very well also, so far so good...
Next, in the disc goes into the Dreamcast - this is were things go (albeit slightly) south - the game took a very long time to load and seemed as if the Dreamcast was having a hard time reading it, could just be a buffering issue anyway, the main video loads and the music kicks in, it's apparent that Senile Team have chosen a period Amiga feel to the frontend of the game which is no bad thing - it feels in some ways that if Sensible Software ever made a decent racing game in 1995 this would be the result. Senile Team have wisely stuck with a retro balls-to-the-wall racing game focusing on old school fun, that said there are moments that do genuinely impress in regards to the graphic handling i.e the headlights on nightime stages, being able to runover innocent bystanders and at one point jumping a motorway. Where the game mostly takes me back however is the soundtrack, almost reminding me of when a Megadrive game was ported to the Mega CD and given a pulse-pounding soundtrack as a bonus. I would recommend Rush Rush Rally to Two types of gamers, 1) those who love to collect something just that little bit different 2) Dreamcast owners with upto four controllers as this game was clearly designed with multiplayer as its forefocus.
