Outstanding! It should be played by all shooter fans.
Gradius Gaiden is a rare gem that sadly never made it west, but can luckily be played on any PlayStation 3 console so many people can enjoy it. And enjoy it you will, if you like Gradius and shooters in general.
Four ships, nine levels, adjustable difficulty, cameos of older ships and music, everything is there.
Be warned, though, it won't be an easy flight. Following the tradition of Gradius games, Gradius Gaiden is a hard game that will definitely give shooter enthusiasts a good challenge. It's a really fun game that should be promoted and enjoyed by more people.

The name of the game is shooter's heaven
Built from the ground up on the PlayStation hardware (as opposed to ported from an Arcade source) Gradius Gaiden plays like an absolute dream. A truly wonderful, wonderful entry to this legendary series.
And thanks to Konami's 'Books' series this game remains commercially available so many years after the PlayStation One's exit from the gaming scene. So whatever you do, don't miss it...

A great Gradius episode
A lovely game, even after years of its original release the game haven't lost its edge. Its lots of fun playing it alone or with your friend.
The sweet news is you can swap your weapons, arranging for example the laser to be the first choose from followed by options you can do any swap imaginable from the strip of weapons at disposal. Sweet, i like it.

An essential game for any Gradius fan.
This game is pure entertainment for shooter fans. Gaiden nails a perfect balance of serious challenge and plain fun, making it as fun to play as it is rewarding to 1cc, and with four unique ships and two-player co-op, there's lots to explore once the game is mastered. Level/boss design, graphics, soundtrack, control (of course); everything's practically flawless here. Especially at this price, it's definitely a worthwhile purchase. If there's one suggestion I'd make, it's to set the difficulty to "hardest" from the start; it rocks. ;)
