Wonderful game
Wip3out was released in Japan after coming to the US from England. The game has been improved from its shoddy US translation. The packing is all brand new and gorgeous. Whereas the US release had a photo-copied European manual in monochrome with formatting mistakes, the Japanese manual has exclusive new designs by TDR, the cult graphics company in charge of the art design for the WipEout franchise. The menu font in the game itself is increased by 2~3pt, so its now LEGIBLE (making it easier to keep track of records.) Tracks are unlocked differently in the Japanese version, in fact, they're unlocked much quicker (though the strict requirements for the prototypes remain.) And there are two brand new Prototype tracks. The only omission is that of the 1P Eliminator challenge... which was the weakest part of the original game, anyway.

For anybody who has played and enjoyed Pure, and is looking for other WipEout games, this is one of the best, if not the best. And for those who've played the US version, this is a marked improvement.
