Classic Castlevania
I had always heard of this being one of the best castlevania games in the series and after playing through I can see why. Anyone who is a Castlevania fan and doesn't have this in collection should hurry up and grab hold of it!!

great game
This is one of the best episode of castlevania (with super castlevania and rondo of blood). The new approach of the serie is very cool (even if it looks like metroid). Music and the background are awesome. Great game!!

Best Castlevania
This is surely the best and masterpiece Casylevania game to date.
This is sealed version (which is Great!), way harder to find than used version.
If you still do not have this game, get it while you can.

This is the best Castlevania that I ever have played.
I don't have the original game anymore =/
and I will buy it again in Japan version that have a wonderful front/back image, too much better than the English version, I am waiting a few days the game that is back ordered, ships once restocked, but if the game don't came to stock, I will buy this used (playstation the best version), I love this game, you will love it too, if you didn't play this yet, pick one for you!!!

I have both DS games Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of ruin, and I like both games. They are fun to play. Now please Konami all I need for the Nintendo DS is Dracula X (PCE version which never come out from Japan) and Symphony of the Night for the Nintendo DS.

A PSone masterpiece from Konami
This is by far, one of the greatest, if not the best, Akumajo Dracula game (Castlevania) ever to hit a console. This version is almost exactly like the old versions, but with an added analog-stick controls, and some of the obvious glitches are removed. (Glitchers, fret not, it's still glitch-friendly) You play as Alucard, son of Lord Dracula, out to end his father's evil ambitions. Gameplay, music, graphics and replayability are all top-quality.

It also ranks among my favorite games of all time. This is much said because I first got to sample this baby last year for the first time. I'm glad I did. I gourged it through.
Symphony was the first Castlevania game to borrow the exploring method we all know from Metroid games. This time you'll be doing it swords, spells and turning into a bat. You'll love traversing through Dracula's castle playing as the suave hero Alucard finding secrets and a whole library of items, leveling up and defeating bosses.
The graphics are top notch. I love 2D and this is 2D done right. Of course, some things are rendered 3D but I must say that Alucard is the coolest 2D sprite in the gaming world with his cape.
The music is in itself is something to behold as it is varied from classical to hard rock. It sets a truly magnificent feel for all the areas of the game you will visit. If you have some money left over, definitely get the soundtrack with this!

In short, it's Metroid - with swords! The music is perfect, ranging from classical to rock to techno. Alucard is a bad-ass sword-wielding hero. Graphics are very nice for the old PSX, although I enjoy 2D graphics anyway. This is a real video gaming experience to cherish.
Unfortunately I couldn't find this game earlier on Play-Asia, so I resorted to other methods of purchasing this game and it cost way too much. I found out that this title is being sold here today and for an extremely decent price. This is a true classic. Get it - before it's too late!

Amazing 2d action, rpg elements, metroid style castle layout, Alucard kicked major butt ! Lots of boss fights, tons and tons of weapons, many with their own special moves, awsome music. It may have been a little easy, but play with just your bare hands ! try to get every item and get the max % ( or go hardcore like morgoth and get over 300% legit ! ), doesnt matter what you do ! This game will keep you playing and playing and loving and loving this godlike game !
