Final Fantasy VII
Personally, I think this is one of the best games ever created although, I still like VIII better (probably because that's the first one I ever played). It's hard too say with the Final Fantasy series. I've played them all and they're all extremely good games. One thing I can tell you the ones made before Square Soft became Square Enix are the best. So X and X-2 are the worst but they are still miles ahead of almost all the other games you can buy.

It is better than FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-2--well, you get the point.
