Quite possibly the greatest game ever made... (IMO)
To this day, I still remember playing FFIX for the first time. I used to think that FF games were for old and boring people so I avoided it at every corner but I found a copy at a friend's house and was curious (the designs were unique) and stole it.

One of the best RPG ever
In my opinion this game was one of the best RPG ever. Great game play, nice mini games, good story, best graphic (compared to the other PSOne FF series), great soundtrack and lovable character.
A great addition to my collection. A precious one :)

Final Fantasy IX, a Great Traditional RPG.
The Last game released for the PS one and it so happens that this game is my first in the final fantasy franchise, this game has superior graphics and soundtracks, a great game to close the book on the PS one, the game play is easy, a lot simple than FF VII & VIII,
However many of the fans may see this game to be a bit of a disappointment because of the story, the story take place in magical world (like most classic RPGs) where there is a kingdom that needs to be saved, a good princess, an evil queen, a villain that acts behind the scenes and a hero with mysteries powers, in general the characters look more childish than the adult looking characters of FF VII & VIII, the story also lacks the Sci-Fi element that made FF VII & VIII so popular, any way this is a traditional RPG at it's best, simple yet good looking, I'm so proud that a played this and managed to finished it with almost every item available.

Best FF ever!
Final Fantasy IX combines great storytelling, nice mini games sequences and a battle system that is not too tiresome as others in the series, also paying homage to the origins of the series as the creator intended them to be. The story is not childish compared to the others, is just that the game do not take it too seriously, so is ideal for a more casual gameplay.
Downsides: I found Kuja (the main villain) poorly developed. I also didn't like Garnet so much - but that's just me.

Great game
Characters and storyline are not as adult as in Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VIII, but a great game nonetheless.
It comes with all those great things you can expect from a FF game: astonishing, amazing soundtrack, state-of-the-art (for back then) graphics, and simple/precise gameplay.
It does remind you of those older versions, taking you back to "Medieval European Fantasy" lol
Characters and storyline are not as adult as in Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VIII, but a great game nonetheless.
