using for Pop'n music and its really great, no lag !
I got more experience and more fun with shock feature :)
It worked great with my ps2/ps1 controllers and ps2 dance mat with out the need of any drivers when I got it, I then downloaded the driver and learned you can change the button modes, inputs, joystick sensitivity, and even swap the stick inputs so you can play an fps with a ps2 controller's right stick as the mouse by using it with the "joy-to-key" application! This thing is flawless!
The converter is very easy to install and works very well. Once installed it's best to update the driver, which you can download from their main page or use the CD. It's also very responsive and works with many games.
I'm using this converter with my Beatmania US controller and it works great. No problems so far. The cord is small so it's easy to plug in without worrying about tangled cords. Installation was a snap.
Easy to install and very responsive. There is no lag. Best PS2 controller converter I've used.
Amazing response time, and easy to install/use. As with all devices of this nature, drivers are required for all features to work properly. The ability to re-map my DPad to buttons, or force Analog or Digital mode is a very nice feature, as well as Dance Pad mode.
This is well worth your money.
The only thing you need is install the driver, connect your original controller of PS/PS2 and start to play!!!!
Simple and easy, the best converter that I ever had!!!
The adaptor works well with the default Windows 7 gamepad driver. Though the controller rumble packs don't seem to work unless you install the driver that comes with the Super Joy Box 3 Pro.
Unfortunately it will not convert the Dual Shock 2 for PS3 use like some adapters will.
Overall I'm happy enough with the Super Joy Box 3 Pro.
I got this to use on my laptop with a PS2 controller. I have it for about a month and it works great! It's small with a short cord so I can carry it around. There is no noticeable lag. My Windows XP SP3 recognized it without installing the driver but the D-Pad behaved oddly in some game. This is fixed after installing the driver, however, so it's not a problem.
I spent tons of money on those PC Pads only to watch them break after a month of usage. I wish I had gotten this before wasted so much money.
I was really hesitant to buy one of these adapters, due to all the horror stories of lag rendering the product useless. This one seemed to have generally good reviews with very few reports of lag, plus it was cheap.
The primary reason I needed one was to use my PSone based arcade stick for fighting games on the PC. I'm happy to report that it works fantastic with no lag whatsoever.
This controller converter works fairly well. The only issues I came across had to do with weird documentation and the requirement for a driver (in Windows). I know it looks like it doesn't need a driver, but for it to function correctly with no odd behavior, it needs the driver.
In alternate OSes the device does not need a special driver, but the d-pad appears to map to buttons rather than anything else. Those buttons are not viewed by software as axis or POV Hatch. This means you have to map your d-pad for every game. Kind of sucks.
Overall not bad, but the problems seem kind of silly and fixable.
The item works. All features of my old ps2 controller appear to work with the games I've tried to play with. If you like playing with a controller with a decent d-pad and not the bad one the 360 controller has, I'd recommend this.
Using this on my 64 bit Windows 7 for Stepmania with a check Gamestop branded dance pad. Works great.
I've had my SJB3Pro for a month now and have definitely put it through it's paces. It works with ALL of my ps/ps2 controllers (even my ps1 arcade stick). I used to buy those PS2 styled USB controllers that you usually find in stores like Gamestop and BestBuy, but they always broke in a couple months. So it's nice to be able to use my durable controllers for ~1/3 the cost of a USB one.
Anyway, If you want to play some ROMS, MAME, or some other controller friendly game on your PC, Give the Super Joy Box 3 Pro a good long look. It's PERFECT for me.
i bought this to play pop'n music and IIDX, it works fine on my USKOC but on my dj dao pop'n music asc i get a little bit of lag that has thrown off my time on arcade machines but its not a big deal.
if you want to buy an amazing converter for cheap and without searching for days this is perfect!!!
Tested on IIDX (home controller) on XP and tested on Linux for PS1 emulation/other games. Works great.
Works just as advertised. Drivers have explicit support for DDR controllers. Also works great with my Beatmania IIDX controller. Haven't tried a fighting stick yet, but I have no doubts this thing can handle that too. Money well spent.
I purchased this because my Kiky X-series converter lags on axis inputs, at least with my beatmania USKOC. This does not lag on axis inputs, and actually feels faster on button inputs. You can also re-map the directional buttons (turntable and button 7 on the KOC), to axes, directional buttons or regular buttons. My only complaint is that my turntable puts 2 inputs with one small turn, and I can't get it to only do 1, which makes it impossible to navigate LR2 menus. Great price, decently fast shipping.
I bought this a few months ago and it works perfectly fine with my PS2 controller and the Pop'n Music Controller 2 on sale here.
Drivers sometimes crash (and cause BSOD) on my Vista Home Premium 32bit and Win 7 Ultimate 64bit when unplugging from computer. Always get the latest drivers from MayFlash!
Works 100% flawlessly on the PC with a great price.
It doesn't work with the PS3 though, well it does but the button mapping is all over the place with the Analogue stick working but not the d-pad.
Easy to setup, works great with windows 7. Little to no lag with IIDX controllers.
Cheap Price cant go wrong with this.
Worked fine with little setup and few issues. Most importantly for me, it works on Windows 7 64-bit.
I got it so I could use the React PS2 Wireless Controller on my PC. I had to configure it some so the buttons would be setup the way I like them. There is no lag regarding communication between the PC, it and the controller that's plugged into it. If you're looking for a great way to play games on your PC wirelessly, I suggest doing what I did.
The drivers could use a slight touch up, but overall the quality of these adapters are great. I bought 2 so I could use both my DDR Dance Pads for Stepmania, and they work beautifully.
This item is excellent! It is a fair price and works magnificent! No problems whatsoever and its simple plug and play, and if it happens not to work as soon as plugged in there is a handy manual included to help set things up! I will definitely be buying from here again! 5/5 Satisfied and Happy Customer!
Awesome product, got 2 of them like 9 months ago and till today it is still functioning well.
It even works straight out of the box on my Mac OSX Leopard without any drivers.
Awesome product, Awesome price, Awesome Seller.
this came at my door like 2 hours ago the first thing i wanted to do with it was to see if i had the lag and retarded rapid issue like my other converter and omg i couldnt stop playing Lunatic Rave it was a blast
Worked the first time without any setup in Windows (XP and Vista). Has worked every time without fail. I use it with a standard PS2 controller for emulators, and for IIDX on PC (Lunatic Rave). Works flawlessly, highly recommend.
If you are looking for a lagfree adapter to play with your PS2 controller on the PC this is the one for you... The driver settings are amazing! I tested the input lag and im very happy with the results. Im using the adapter to plug my HRAP2:SA on the PC and play SFIV. Amazing!
it didn't support my drummania controller which I brought from here also. All the drums were no respond to the game.
I'm very happy with this product~!
Worthless, plugged it in and didn't even register as a device. After several attempts at rebooting and plugging and unplugging the device it worked about twice.
No problems. No lag. every button, analog input is remappable. ddr mode. digital mode. analog mode. auto mode. vista drivers on mayflash.com site. If only every adapter was of this calibre. recommended.
I ordered a djdao Fp7 Beatmania controller a while back and when i got it in the mail, i noticed it was a PS2 controller, and came with a PS2 to parallel port converter. and i dont have parallel ports on my computer. so i figured i'd plug the controller into my current PS2 to USB converter and the keys kept rapid firing, the 7 button and turntable were reconized an axis and it was a total mess.
on wednesday someone suggested the super joybox 3 pro to me and so i figured i'd give it a try, so i ordered it wednesday night around midnight with UPS shipping and it got here friday afternoon. it took a whole 36 hours, i was real impressed.
anyways, i go download the drivers from the website because the small disk wont work well in my slide-in dvd drive. i plugged in the controller and opened up game controllers and switched the controller type to what i needed and it changed all the axis to buttons. now i can play IIDX15 just fine with no delay at all. thanks for the excellent product and the 10/5 service. you guys deserve it!
I'm very happy with this product as it works wonders on my pc, and lets me play games that allow joypad configuration. The Playstation Controller Joypad Control Panel Menu, which is used to properly adjust and calibrate the controller, is easy to understand and simple to use, however you don't really need to calibrate any buttons, as they work flawlessly on every game I've used my Dual Shock Analog Playstation Controller for. The Force Feedback is a little weak however, compared to the Force Feedback you experience when using the Playstation Controller on the Playstation console. But at least the Analog Dual Shock Controller works and the drivers support force feedback, which you can turn on and off in the control panel. Games play very smooth and I haven't experienced any problems thus far. I don't own a dance pad so I haven't tried that out to see if the controller works properly or not, and I don't even have any dance dance revolution games to test out either. Still, just make sure one thing, that if you're using your Analog Dual Shock Playstation Controller, and you want Force Feedback, and it doesn't work for any of the games you test it on, then your game might not or doesn't support Force Feedback. If you're thinking about using your Playstation Force Feedback controller for PC games, here's a list of PC games that support Force Feedback...
Thank you Play-Asia.com for your patience and great service, and thank you Mayflash for making the most excellent PSX Controller to PC USB adapter there is. By the way, if you need to download any drivers for your adapter, just go to the Mayflash downloads section here...
My Super Joy Box 3 Pro adapter came with a small CD that has all the drivers needed for the Super Joy Box 3 Pro, Super Dual Box Pro, and Super Joy Box 5 Pro adapters. I'm mentioning this because people who reviewed the Super Joy Box 3 Pro earlier said theirs came with a floppy disk and Windows XP and Vista computers no longer come with floppy disk drives. This is a plus in my book because Mayflash is a company that makes sure their technology is up to date and working for both the technology of yesterday and today, instead of selling something and caring less what problems people are experiencing. Mayflash, you're the best, and thank you Play-Asia.com for making this wonderful PC accessory affordable and not so over priced like all the other online webstores =). The Super Joy Box 3 Pro adapter supports the following PC Operating Systems...
I'm from india and i've decided to order this product, firstly the shipping was pretty fast! in airmail, i got it exactly in 9 days!
I basically purchased this to use my Guitar Hero wireless ps2 controller to play FretsOnFire, and that's exactly what this baby does! no hassles no problems just plug and play! This is one amazing product, if you're looking for a ps2-to-pc adapter, look NO further! :D
I use this with my Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 SA and have no noticeable lag. Comes with drivers for WINDOWS VISTA regardless of what the product description says! I use it with MAME on TinyXP Rev 09 and it's the best PS2 USB adapter I own by far.
I have had many headaches troubleshooting adapters off Ebay to only find out there is the dreaded joystick axis problem. I picked this adapter up after doing some serious research and feel like I hit the jackpot. It works perfect with Stepmania! If you're tired of throwing away your cash on hit or miss adapters try this one. By the way I'm running XP but it's suppose to work on Vista, 2000, ME, and 9X.
Tried this out and it worked perfectly for me. games like Megaman X5, Devil may cry 4 are working perfectly with this adapter. it is very fast as well, there is no delay. the drivers installed fine on XP.
Though it uses the USB interface, the Super Joy Box 3 Pro does NOT work correctly with the PS3, specifically with SplitFish's EdgeFX controller. (Only a couple of buttons work, no mouse, no analog.) On the PC, drivers don't seem to install correctly when checking Device Manager. There's also hanging and minor difficulties configuring with Vista's Game Controller properties. Eventually - with patience and configuration tweaks - controllers seem to work well enough. (Vista SP1 32-bit.)
I bought this thing and I received it yesterday (***** for the service, great!)
I could set it to play PES 2008. It worked good. I'm very satisfied.
The problem is I couldn't play gears of war.
Works wonderfully with Stepmania and the driver installation in Vista was perfect. I had no lag and no problems setting up the buttons. The package comes with a floppy disk for the driver installation but if you have a floppy drive and you want to put it on a laptop, it's as easy as copying your setup file to a flash drive and going from there. I would highly recommend this product!
I tested the converter with a Beatmania controller, and it works really well. The response time is really fast, and you can press all the buttons on the controller (including the scratch) at once. The wire is very short also, meaning no extra wire to get wrapped up in.
WOW they have windows vista driver on their site now.
Radio Shack's converter didn't register fast button presses (button mashing) on my Hori Real Arcade Pro 1 Version B (or 2), but this does. Although shoryukens and hadoukens were easier to perform in mame32k v06.4 with this converter than with the Radio Shack converter, it still wasn't flawless. In training mode on console, I would be able to get 10 shoryukens off in a row, but in mame, I couldn't duplicate that success (comparing Street Fighter II: World Warrior on Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 to Street Fighter II: World Warrior on mame).
I am using it for play nebula emu and it's response time is very fast and you can't feel any delay.A perfect
The driver disc I got didn't work, for some odd reason, but I went to their site and downloaded the driver, and it works great! There is no visible lag, and works great with Stepmania! Highly recommended, especially for the price! :)
It kind of works with Vista. The supplied drivers will not work with Vista despite telling you they have installed successfully. If you don't install the drivers, you can use Vista's default drivers that let you use the basic functions. You can't use your pressure sensitive buttons or remap buttons for example.
This thing is excellent in Windows XP, and can be used for a number of PC titles, as well as virtually controller-enabled emulators. I am curious as to whether or not this adapter works with Windows Vista, since I don't know anyone who has tried this adapter with that new OS yet. Anyone have info on this?
I bought the SJB3 for my Hori Real Arcade Pro 1 v2 and it works great. No noticeable lag.
I also tested the adapter with the standard ps2 pad... also works great. I ended up putting away my trusty ol' Saitek P880 PC pad because with my ps2 pad and HRAP I won't need the PC pad anymore.
As for the controller's minor features (rumble, button pressure, rapid fire), I tried turning on rumble in Phantasy Star Universe but didn't feel anything. I think rumble works tho since it works in the controller's test menu. Doesn't matter to me either way. Rapid fire works fine. Button pressure sensitivity I had no games to test on.
The SBJ3 does what I want it to do and at the cheapest price I could find so I'm happy with it. Those looking for a cheap PS2 converter should pick this up.
Playing Alpha 3 and the response time is very nice. Got MAME with two of these babies for my laptop and I'm lovin it. Didn't install the drivers, no need unless you want to use the analog.
I'm using this with the Vampire Edition Saturn PS2 controller. It comes with drivers on floppy, but I didn't even have to bother, on both XP SP2, and on MacOSX.
I just plugged it into both machines and it worked immediately with my emulators.
It's works plug-and-play under OS-X Tiger; excellent for running emulators. It doesn't seem to have any Windows specific firmware, so it should work with any USB-compatible Macintosh (some G3s and any G4 or G5).
You do need a 3'5 floppy drive to get the offical drivers installed BUT XP works fine without them. Reads everything from analog to dance pads. Even buttons I didnt know were in the playstation. Way good buy! Well... buyS. I got 3 now. One is for a friend...
Fantastic piece of hardware. Works perfectly on XP SP2. No need for extra batteries for Force Feedback to work (powered by USB). Pressure sensitive buttons too. Ideal for emulators. Driver is very easy to installed provided you have a 3'5 disk reader in your PC, otherwise you can get the driver off the net at the following address:
