Good product, but not for unorthodox controllers. I purchased this adapter in the hopes of using it with my newly created MAME cabinet with four Ascii 鉄pecialized Joysticks meant to be used with the original Playstation. Using this product I could only get one controller to work properly while the others seem to be receiving interference from that one working joystick. It痴 like the adapter picks up the signal from this one working controller and is trying to use it simultaneously with all the other controllers.
Just a word of warning to those with the same hopes of using unorthodox controllers for a similar project.

Very good but... This adapter is perfect if you plan to use it with one controller or with 2 to 4 "officials SONY dual shock 2" controller... If you want to use different types of controllers at the same time, there are bugs and lags.
I use it under windows XP with my hrap2.sa alone or with official PS2 pads for multiplayers games and there's no problem. It work with MAME, kawaks, zsnes, nebula etc...
So it's a very good 4 players adapater to have, with great functions, but for multiplayer, each player must use a Sony DS2 pad!

WORKS FINE I've had mine a year (replacing a previous one-socket version), never a problem with my one PS2 dual shock controller. I finally got round to getting a second PS2 dual shock controller and they both work fine - another commenter here is right in that it's best to plug all the stuff in BEFORE you switch on your PC. And i've never had any feedback issues at all. What a great invention! I cant recommend it any higher.

Not Perfect Given that it is more expensive than your regular usb converter (there are MUCH cheaper options at parity performance) imo it's not worth the buy unless you really want the force feedback (FF). I notice a fraction of a second delay when playing fighting games on my PC using a pad, probably due to the increased wiring brought about by the FF function. The difference is not noticeable in other genres, but with fighting games it could be the difference in a highly competitive match. So if you plan to use this for an arcade stick and don't need the FF function, not worth it.
