Didn't work When I used this the first time, it worked for like 5 minutes, and then it just stopped working. I was playing "pixel junk monsters", and suddenly my little "Turtlesjaman"worker just stopped moving. I suppose the converter is good when it works, but I can't say I'm very pleased with the product since the lifetime was 5minutes. I have an 80GB PS3 if that for some reasone should be the case of the converter not working. And I have tested the converter with two PS1 controllers and with one PS2 controller (All of the controllers have rumble and analog ability). It isn't working on any of them.
I have in mind that the converter I bought may be defect, so I think I'm going to buy me a new one.

great product works perfect with my Hori Arcade Stick Pro!!!
the only thing to do is connect the adaptor with a PS2 Anlog Controller , Playstation 3 will recognize the adaptor after you hit the anlog botton, now unplug the PS2 controller and plug the Hori Arcade Stick Pro and have fun!

Let me explain, Virtua Fighter 5 doesn't work with a PS2 gamepad if you don't hit the Analog button because the controls of this game were meant to use the D-Pad in POV mode and NOT in X/Y Axis mode. So when you plug a PS2 joystick that doesn't have an analog button, all you can do is hit the buttons, you won't be able to move the characters.
On the other hand, a game like Soul Calibur 4 does work because the game will allow the X/Y Axis to move the character, so a PSX or PS2 controller in Digital will allow you to move the characters.
Final note, don't think that you can download a PSX game to play with your PSX or PS2 joystick because it won't work since the PSX emulation puts the analog mode on automatically regardless of the setting you choose when you hit the Home button.

perfect!!! I bought this because I don't wanna buy Japanese PS2 for music game. I wasn't sure it will work or not. But guess what!! It work perfect with my beatmania controller!!! I guess I have to buy one more for my second controller

terrible imput lag terrible imput lag playing ps2 games on ps3 or playing tekken on ps3 psn
adapter cant handle more then 2 imput commands at once an drops imputs every 7-10 secs , so a stick movement an 2 button commands in tekken misfires
thus making it useless for my hrap sa
i dont use mame on pc so it might still be ok for pc use but for arcade sticks an ps3 get a pelican adapter
