Really love this game
best mario kart ever!
best mario kart ever!

One of Nintendo's best racing games!
Mario Kart 64 is probably one of the most addicting racing games Nintendo has ever put out! It has regular GP race to race against the computer players and have 1 team mate play along your side controlled by player 2. You can do a VS race or battle mode up to 4 players which is always a lot of fun! This is a very good multiplayer game to get all your friends to play. If you need an extra controller, this game set comes with a spare controller. It's a black controller with a gray bottom. I haven't seen a controller like this before.
This game has some region differences between the Japanese and the American versions. The first one I noticed was the title screen announcement. In the American version, Mario says "Welcome to Mario Kart". The Japanese version has little kids scream out "Mario Kart AAAAA!" which I thought was weird. The difficulty on the Japanese version is definitely easier than the American version. The American version has a problem where if the best computer gets in the lead and is off the screen, they accelerate and you will never see them again. This version is reasonable, if they get into the lead, you can still catch them. I also noticed that Toad is called "Kinopio" like in Super Mario RPG and the Mushroom cup is called Kinoko cup. The last thing I noticed was the voice actors and actresses were from Mario Party unlike the American release. This game was great for a re-experience in a great classic with some minor changes! The additional controller is a plus too!
