description
In the sequel to the large scale historical action film by John Woo, the war continues with more special effects and excitement than ever. With Cao Cao cunningly making use of the plague that happened within his territories, the allied forces are pressured to retaliate, which eventually leads to the famed naval battles at Red Cliff.
This is as much a battle of wits and strategy as a battle of force. Feel the visual impact of the burning of the interlocking ships. Besides the grand scale fire and destruction, John Wu's re-creation of the testudo formation as inspired by the ancient Romans are a great draw as well.
Consider what the war is all about through watching the human drama between the characters, acted by an all star cast (Tony Leung, Lust Caution, Kaneshiro Takeshi, House of Flying Daggers). Complete the epic battle with the last two hours of the feature length film.

The Finale Of Red Cliff!
Rated excellent by many movie fans of the first red cliff, part two is exceptional as well. Watched a few times on dvd and never a dull moment. 5/5 stars!

A great finale to the story. The battle between Cao Cao and Zhuge Liang is truly epic. Some of the tricks they use in battle are so clever. I can't recommend it high enough.

Amazing finale!
Top production values make this a great conclusion to the two part series. While the story takes a sharp turn, focusing on the two main heroes and develops some non-historical characters, the final battle scene is a climax worth the wait. Stellar special effects, sound design, and action sequences make it a fully immersive theater experience.
