Not what I was expecting
Too be plain and simple, it's basically chess with some slight differences.
The menus and level selection screens are fairly simple to figure out.
The gameplay is definitely something different. You have 5 Bomberman characters each looking like chess pieces, but with Bomberman costumes. The movement is similar to Fire Emblem movements, but you can only move in straight lines. You select a piece and move it a certain amount. Most can move only 3 spaces. After you move all your characters, you can tell them to set bombs up. The goal is to trap your opponent and surround him with bombs. The explosion system works the same as in Bomberman. The bombs timers always go down by one in between turns. When they reach zero, they explode.
A lot of the maps are fairly unique and have their own themes and objects everywhere.
It's not a bad game, just a little slow paced.
