An incredible movie! Everything about this screams "professional".
A truly haunting tale that will stick with you long after watching it.
Definantly not for those who hate being scared.
Truly ESSENTIAL purchase!

A TALE OF TWO SISTERS is a chilling tale about two sisters who return home from an extended stay in hospital because of an illness, shortly after their mother has passed away.
Upon returning home they are greeted by their seemingly nice StepMother, however things are not what they seem as strange things begin happening. Everyone can hear footsteps running around late at night, doors are opened and cupboards creak open for no reason.
The eldest sister, Su-mi, thinks it's just the work of her stepmother, and the youngest, Su-yeon, is too scared to talk to anyone but her sister.
A TALE OF TWO SISTERS is a hard movie to review because it has one of those twisted storylines that you cant really talk about without giving something away and spoiling it for somebody who hasn't seen it.
The acting is first class, with every actor playing their role perfectly.
The spotlight and praise remains mostly on Lim Su-jeong and Yum Jung-Ah, who play the eldest sister Su-mi and the stepmother Mu-hyun, they both are incredible actors and deserve all the praise they get, however the cute Moon Geun-yeong (who plays Su-yeon) gets very overlooked by the other stand out performances. It's a shame Moon Geun-yeong gets overlooked because she is very talented, lets be honest it's hard to show your talent when playing a character that doesn't talk much and just has to follow her sister.
Keep an eye out for Moon Geun-yeon in the upcoming Korean comedy MY LITTLE BRIDE, which is brilliant by the way.
Anyway, I got a little off-track their so lets continue with this movie ^^.
The colours of '...Two Sisters' is surprisingly bright (no dark colour filters for this movie ^^) which gives it a somewhat "story book" feel.
Dont be fooled because this approach makes the movie even scarier, kinda like "not even a story book is safe from the horrors human nature creates" or "there is a darker side to every story".
ATO2S is very scary. It's got very few scary moments but that's made up with the fear you feel durin these moments that makes you want to press stop and run out of the room. I on one occasion, leaped up and screamed like a little school girl ^^.
This movie is brilliant. From the exquisite cinematography, to the impressive editing. Everything about this reaks of quality, and if you haven't seen the infamous OLD BOY from Korea, then you'll definantly appreciate this movie as the greatest Korean film ever made (well atleast Horror/Drama film).
I strongly recommend purchasing this movie if you're a horror fan, infact i recommend you purchase it if you're a drama fan. Heck i recommend this movie to everybody, just don't watch if you get psychiatric treatment because all your progress will be for nothing :P.
