Let's wait for Ambition
If you're on into like the previous Sims like The Sims Vacation & The Sims 2 Bon Voyage then it's a buy for who loves to travel and have a powerful PC as honest as I am, I'm very quite disappointed and running on a normal MacBook is a serious pain (unless you run Bootcamp which is ok)
yet apart from traveling in 3 worlds (china, egypt, paris) it only seem to expand too much on RPG-ish dungeon travelling and basement traps etc. with fighting mummies or creating them, new skills like kung-fu fighting, nectar making & photography, it just seems not enough to satisfy you.
Interacting with the native NPC could be a plus, it can be very irritating since Adventures jobs will require heavy dose good native relationship that is feeling more like a chore.
New foods, fishes, rocks and artifact with some new perks & sim traits were not worth the addition since they are seriously inter-related with the Adventure.
My only advice is to just wait for Ambition that adds new jobs + workplace + new towns and if you are seriously desperate for adventure to another country then get it plus it's a bit cheaper now.

A whole new way to play
