description
In TimeShift, you assume the role of renowned test pilot Colonel Michael Swift who recently lost his only daughter in a bus accident. Depressed and desperate for an escape from his misery, Swift decides to accept a recent offer from the U.S. Government.
Armed with a time-control device called the "Quantum Suit" and a time machine called the "Chronomicon," Swift sets out to test the most significant inventions of the century. He is briefly sent back in time to 1911 to plant an experimental probe. Upon his return to the present, a shift has occurred. The world he left has changed beyond all recognition. And his knowledge of this timeshift has made him an enemy of the state. Swift is now both on the run and on a mission to set time straight once again.

Solid B grade title I enjoyed Timeshift, but it certainly isn't a grade A title. It has almost no story, the time powers are very gimmicky and half the time not even necessary. The AI is stupid and suicidal, the game length short, the graphics so-so, the atmosphere ripped out of Half Life 2, and the weapons irrelevant once you get the crossbow, which makes most other weapons obsolete.
Yet, after saying all this, I still say it is a fun game and worth a look for any shooter fan. You can find a lot better than Timeshift at the moment with shooters like COD4, Halo 3, and The Orange Box all recently released but you can also do a lot worse (Jericho). A good game to play between games but it's not a game that will leave a big impression or stay with you for a long time.
2 Weeks and here it is! ok...its very hard these weeks: Orange Box, CoD4 and last month: Halo 3. Freetime is rare! ;-)
And now: Timeshift. One Year too late, but looks and plays very good. Its not a Top-Title, but a game for the time after CoD4, Orange Box, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Guitar Hero III.......
Nice Game for your Collection and it makes fun...really! There are much better games on the market, but if you need a game: Timeshift is a good choice!
