I see it was released sep 05 but its still not been released in the uk and i would happily buy the damn game from HK if i could find someone who has it in stock.

This is your game if you want gameplay instead of multicolor and sweet graphics.
The bosses are very cool and its not too difficult to master them.

Great game here! Definately has an old school vibe to it. I'll be honest this isn't an Espgaluda or Ikaruga but if your a fan of shmups then this game should be right up your alley. Give it a go!

Ever heard the slogan that "Raiden Fighters" is "Raiden DX on steroids"? Now thats really true for Raiden3. If you forget about washed 3d backrounds and assimilate yourself with "modified for today" fast, dangerous bullet patterns, you r gonna get gameplay very similar to Raiden DX, which is ... a nice thing, when you WANT this sort of gameplay ;) Just dont expect anything like Raiden Fighters Jet, which still is my fav game of all. Still Raiden3 has deadly and very nice bullet patterns. And dont forget the all Raiden games speciality: ultra high tech mean looking bosses! (no girlies butterflies, shooting brains, and teleporting elephants). Just pure tech destruction. Gotta love it! i give it 5 stars even with this washed scrolling backround. Shmup fans are not into graphics but gameplay ;) Cheers

Pure old school action
If you're a Raiden fan then this is a must buy. It's old school shoot em up where there aren't as many bullets but they move *fast*. Sure, it's not the 'bullet hell' style that most other shoot em ups nowadays employ but it's pure old school arcade action. If that's what you want then this is it. But make sure you instantly set it to Arcade difficulty before you begin playing, as normal is a little on the easy side. Also has expert videos to show you that you're really not as good at the game as you think you are.

Great Game
As it was stated, the game is a little too easy. I played it for the first time and got to the 3rd stage boss before i even died once. That's a little to easy in my eyes. Especially since there isnt that many stages to begin with. Other than that, the game looks really greay, the Laser effects are on par with Gradius V. The Gallery Mode and Replay Modes are welcomed additions, but other than that, the gameplay for it being this expensive is really disappointing.

With all that said, it really is a great addition to the Raiden series (even it seems like a remake of Raiden I). so i give it 3/5 for the effort.

great fun but too easy and too
I'm certainly not a fan of shooters, apart from the odd game at the arcade, but this game is brilliant, especially because at my friends house his LCD is on a bracket which allows full vertical play which was so cool... but we completed it in under 30 mins on normal difficulty and I can't see any replay value except when you have your mates round and want some quick and fast shump action...
