Functional.
I've got a 106cm plasma TV, with MASSSSSSIVE lag. This product completely fixed it... but the picture looks pretty bad. Point is, it's wonderful for the price tag. If you just use your PS2 for bemani like I do, this is easily the best product for you.

The best VGA Box for PS2
It´s simply the best VGA Box for Ps2. I´ve tried so many others and no one is easier to use. Maybe i miss more definition in the picture. But it´s really interesting if you dont have a TV on your room.

Its ok...
works nices, it is a bit dark like wahid mentioned. The one thing that really irritates me ALOT is that when say flashes of lighting in a game (like Xenosaga Ep1) the game flickers from a blue screen, back to the game, then back to the blue screen. then it situates itself. Then you actually see true rich color then and flicks and it dulls the colors.

The business
Picture quality is really nice, in both PAL and NTSC modes. Superb little box, its only fault being the VGA pass-through signal - the VGA cable supplied in the box for this purpose is just plain nasty, and with a really high quality VGA cable your PC display will still be slightly ghosted. But hey. I just plug it in as and when I use it. For £20...well...if you have a CRT monitor and a PS2, get this ;)

It Works
I have a 19" CRT and a PS2 & PS1, and this baby works superbly on both. It will not work on LCD monitors. A bad thing about it is that it takes it power from a memory card slot, leaving only one slot usable on the PS2.

Things to note, is that, to change the type of display press both arrow buttons for a second and then let go.

And if you want to use YPsPr mode, switch on the PS2 without a CD, in the system settings select YPsPr.

Did "wahid" ever think that the product might not be compatable with some TFT screens or maybe even all of them. I recommend this to anybody, TV or no TV, it's a top product!

This product is wast of money!
Since the days of my Dreamcast VGA box I've been looking to connect my other consoles to my PC monitor. But no games console supports the VGA mode, so what to do then to buy something like this. But after my purchase i tried this with my PS2. I was shocked how the picture looked. Blurry, dark, bit pixilated. And yes i did set my setting to "component" from the PS2 menu. I got a 17" TFT monitor and the quality on the monitor is superb, but using this product made my monitor look cheap. If i were you i stick to normal TV using a RGB scart is way better then this VGA box. Only recommend if you don't have a TV in your room to buy this. These are just a line doubler all they do is multiply the line resolution by two so they work in you VGA monitors. Try to void this and other similar products.

note : to use the YPsPr mode, power on the ps2 and go to setting and put 'YPsPr' :-) in the video options.
