I've been wanting to get my hands on one of these for a long time. Been playing a lot of IIDX at the arcades. The response on the controller is just wonderful. A thing though, it is smaller than the arcade and my hands still haven't adjusted to it completely. Turntable was sticky at first but it loosened up after a few games. Will try modding to see if it brings better results.

This is my second JKOC, I noticed this one has a grippier Turntable texture, and also the little Turntable nib is flattened. It also mentions something about 'Playstation 3' on the box, so I'm guessing it's a newer version of the JKOC. Anyway, same mods, same beautiful controller :D

Controller itself is really; modding is pretty much necessary, and it is rather time consuming, but with proper care, it'll last years. Looks and feels great.

Shipping was unbelievably fast too; it got to my house in just under 36 hours from when I ordered.

For the more casual player or those not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars for an arcade styled controller, this is a great and cheaper alternative.

Although there turn table is quite stiff and sticky keys are an eventual problem, these can easily be fixed by doing 2 simple mods to the controller when you get it. Guides for these are easily found over the net.

Nothing to say about this product. You can play like a "pro" a IIDX with this. Don't compare with a low product. Even if you want to be a master of IIDX, you can do it with this standard controler.

Fantastic build quality, great product
The controller works really well; I've only ever played Beatmania (Not IIDX, but the original five key version) and the original five button controller on the PS1, and this one is better than both. The keys are sensitive, rarely sticking (Which can be fixed with a quick bit of filling and modifying) and the turntable is so sensitive it really makes playing IIDX games a breeze. Now all I need is a bit more practice!

Absolutely flawless...
I've had my IIDX KOC for a little over a year now and it still works perfectly, with the same responsiveness and sensitivity as when I first got it.

The only reason to get a controller other than this is if you want a more arcade-style experience.

Well, it's a beautiful controller, I received it so fast. It works perfectly, but for people who are behaved to play in computer the button are so far away from other, but the good thing is you know it's the real distance between the buttons. It very good! =D

On the controller side, all in all, a great controller. Everything is perfect with it, aside from things that are my prefernce (i like super-loose TT, clicky buttons), and if you want to change it to suit you, just follow the mods on bemanistyle.

Superb item
I ordered this along with Beatmnaia IIDX 8th Style, and let me say this is one fine piece of kit. It's much, much larger than you'd imagine (It's longer and wider than the PS2 itself), and it's built like a brick - these things take a real beating.

As for response, the turntable and the keys have superb response, and are very easy to work with even at the more insane difficulty levels. In addition, the keys are removable and can be rotated so that the turntable is on the left or right hand side of the controller.

About the price - it's certainly a daunting pricetag, but I assure you, you'll think it's worth every cent once you've had time to use it.

Excellent product. I plan on buying a second one of these very soon from Play-Asia. Just make SURE you modify the controller. The Beatmania IIDX boards on www.bemanistyle.com has excellent tips for modding. After the modding is complete, this controller is a dream.

after a ridiculously easy mod on the buttons, this is about as close as you are going to come to the arcade feel without spending 400 bucks on the asc.

and dont make the mistake i did when modding, use 2 layers of cereal box the first time, theres no downside and it makes for an amazing improvement in feel

with a few modifications its a relaly nice controller the only thing it lacks is mini switches and lights. and te buttons are kinda soft

The best solution for those who can't afford the Koanmi ASC.
The controller is the best solution for those who can't afford the expensive $400+ ASC. The controller overall is well-made and looks very nice. Definitely, worth the $89 US.

If you don't like throwing money away, don't buy the Arcade Style Controller. Buy this!
This controller is the best at this price range. It's not worth buying the Arcade Style Controller, because the difference is not that big anyway. The keys are of a very good quality, although back in the day I was hoping they would include red lights under them just like in the arcade. But of course we can't have everything... Despite all that, after a month of prolonged use or even sooner, the keys may start to get sticky (which can become very irritating), so I strongly recommend you to take the controller apart before this happens, and put a 1 cent euro coin under each button plunger. (no other Euro/US coins are small enough to work!) Just unscrew the screws that keep the controller solid and take out the green circuit plate. The plungers are under it. That way the buttons will never get sticky and you will also get better sensitivity out of them, creating a more arcade feel at the same time.

Conclusion: With a minor coin-modding "operation", this baby can keep rocking your Konami music game world for years to come! (I've been using mine for more than a year and still feels like new)

Keys are good sizes, spaced well, fun to press without the CLACKITY CLACK like the ASCII one this is replacing. Switching around is great for newbies like myself who still cling onto the old Beatmania. Build quality is fantastic. It's heavy, solid, and just looks kick-ass. What? These guys are sold out? Kill yourself. Now.
