No title Received this today. Until now I used to play PnM game on regular controllers and boy did it feel great to switch to the Pop'n Mini! It made the game much more enjoyable. If you can't afford the ACS, I would highly recommend this! There's no way I'd ever go back to playing with just regular PS2 controllers now!

Excellent for beginners. I received my controller along with Pop'n 12 when it was released, and it's still working perfectly.
All of the buttons are very sensitive, and are domed much like those in an ASC. Though it may look like a fisher price toy from the pictures, don't be fooled. It's actually much heavier and sturdier than I expected. It also has four rubber stoppers on the bottom to keep from moving.
However, a mini-con will not give you the full Pop'n experience. In Pop'n, a lot of playing techniques revolve around using the right hands for the right buttons, and you lose this when you can hit almost all of the buttons with one hand. If you're willing to shell out the money, go for an ASC.
Overall, it gets the job done and does it very well. 5 stars

Fast delivery, mint condition, incredible controller I received my order not 3 days after ordering it. The box and controller were in mint condition, and the peripheral is in perfect working order. The buttons are more sensitive than I would like, but that's something to which I can adapt.
Play-asia has the best service of any online retailer I've ever encountered and done business with. I will certainly be shopping here more often.

decent homecontroller Granted, there aren't many alternatives, but if you are looking for a PnM controller this is the one you should get. It's durable, very responsive and the dome-shaped buttons give you a bit of that arcadefeel (as far as a homecontroller can do that). The only real disadvantage is that this controller makes a lot of noise. When you are playing complext numbers you might get distracted by the continuous rattling of your controller.

Brilliant! Shipped to me quickly, no complaints there.
The controller was amazing when I opened it, the smooth sleek look was nice on the eyes accompanied by the white shell.
This was going to be fun.
I plugged in the controller, instead of the usual 5-Line (Dualshock) I greeted the game with 9-Line, though at first the switch from Dual to Pop'n controller was weird it felt natural after a while. The sound doesn't bother me a bit seeing as it helps keep you along to the rhythm and tells you when you are offbeat. Though what di get to me was the buttons over-sensitive nature.
All in all great controller, must buy. 5/5

Excellent. A great improvement over the V1, the domed buttons are really nice. The noise can be a bit annoying, but I find it helps me go along with the beat of the song sometimes. A great controller, overall.

No title Got this controller with the Pop'n 10 Konamistyle pack. I started out with the dualshock, a month later I got this one back in december '04.
As somebody already pointed out, this controller makes noise and the buttons are really sensitive -- like shake the controller and it registers presses. But this is not a bad thing, especially because of the small size. Also, as I said about the Pop'n Music Arcade Style Controller, these things make alot of noise - but that's to be expected, when the point of the game is to insanely mash the buttons for a nice two minutes.
IIDX has been tested aswell and works just great - altough if you want the IIDX experience, get yourself an IIDX controller.
All in all, very great controller and good for those that are still unsure if they're getting into Pop'n or not -- or just don't want to get the big ASC.

if not for the noise... i've started playing pop'n music by using dualshock starting from last year and the best i can play are 5-button songs only. but now, when i recieved my pop'n controller 2, i can easily play all the 9-button songs (the easy ones though). anyway, the size is small and just nice. and i also dont mind the white colored body.
i think the button is TOO easy to push. just a little tap and it gives of a signal. this is good but it may make you tap your button a little too fast and break your combo... Plus, it won't feel like the arcade version where you SLAP your buttons intead of just TAPping them. these type of buttons are perfect for IIDX though...
another thing is that when you tap your buttons it make noises. the noise of plastic against plastic. it not irritating but let's say if you want to play in the middle of the night, you might wake up everybody after one song. i think they better put some thng like absorbers or whatever to dampen the noise.
anyhow, if you want to experience the actual 9-button play of pop'n music, or don't want to waste all your money at the arcade machine failing unfamiliar songs and practicing them over and over again; i'd suggest you get this thing. the price is also reasonable compared to the first controller.
oh, and here's a bonus. if you also play IIDX and thinking about buying the IIDX controller, it's better you buy pop'n music controller because this one has 9-buttons, while IIDX controller has 8-buttons (the turntable is considered as one button). you can play IIDX using the pop'n controller (the left white and yellow buttons are for the turntable), but you can't play 9-button pop'n music with an IIDX controller. of course you can play the 5-button BUT after some button configurations. i know this because i have the IIDX controller.

no complaints I just received my popnmusic controller2 and do not have a single complaint about it. After playing on a dualshock for almost a year, this makes popnmusic feel like a whole new game. Im an avid IIDX player, and was worried that this would simply feel like IIDX with 9 keys due to the size, but it actually is an entirely different experience. If youre even considering buying this, and cannot spend at least 200 dollars on an ASC, do yourself a favor and pick this up.
