A must-have, even if you never play the game Even after I haven't played the game again for years, some of the tracks are stuck on my head until today. That is what I like most about Chrono Cross: the tracks are excellently arranged and fit the mood of the game very well.
I highly recommend you to have this soundtrack in your collection, even if you never played or dislike the game.

Great OST I just received it from play-asia. It comes in 3 discs. For Chrono Cross or even Chrono Trigger fan, this album will bring back the memory to the moments in the games. To other instrumental listener, I think this masterpiece of Yasunori Mitsuda is worth to try. He is successfully in composing celtic and east asian music style into something enticing to hear. Next I will try Soma Bringer, also composed by Mitsuda-san.

A powerful OST score I came across the music for this game while listening to various game music on youtube and I'm glad I decided to buy the soundtrack as it is one of the best game music OST I have heard.
Having never bought the game I was worried that my money might have been ill spent, thankfully after booting up the disc my worries were put to rest. The score is wonderful and absorbing; it is clear that Mitsuda was going for a natural, organic feel for this game as it is quite peaceful.
The peacefulness of most tracks is complimented by the stronger orchestral scores which can seem to sweep you into an epic battle. However it should be noted that there's no music that really gets your blood pumping; orchestral or not its quite a softer sounding set of music than many, apart from versed RPG fans will be used to.
Overall highly recommended.

A really good album! Another album that I would strongly recommend. I'm very glad that they got the composer from Chrono Trigger back to bring this great ensemble of celtic-sounding music. Most of the tracks are really strongly done and this is by far an easy album to listen to.
However, there are a couple of tracks where the style doesn't match the sound.

Excellent soundtrack This is a beautiful OST. Every track has it's own feeling, and all are very beautiful and enjoyable.
It really captures the feeling of the game, yet stands on it's own without problems.
