ゲーム音楽作曲家｢植松伸夫｣率いるロックバンド“THE BLACK MAGES”2ndアルバムが再発！
1987年シリーズ第一作目の発売から生誕20周年を超えたゲームソフト「ファイナルファンタジー」。シリーズ全タイトルの世界累計出荷は驚異のセールスを誇り、正に日本を代表するテレビ・ゲーム・ソフトと言って過言ではありません。
そのゲーム戦闘時に使われるBGMをメインに選曲し、ロック・アレンジを施すのが作曲家「植松伸夫」率いるバンド“THE BLACK MAGES”。本作は彼らの演奏による待望の2ndアルバムとして2004年12月にリリースされたアルバムの再発版が本作です。
2003年2月に発売した1作目は、FF初のロック・アレンジという試みが見事ファンの心を捉えスマッシュ・ヒットを記録。同年4月に開催された渋谷AXでのライブ・コンサートを皮切りに2004年の東京・大阪でのツアーを経て2005年にはついにロサンゼルスでのライブ公演を敢行しました。2006年2月にはパシフィコ横浜で行われた一夜限りFFコンサート「VOICES」にもライブ出演するなど、常に業界内外に衝撃を呼ぶゲーム音楽業界屈指のバンドです。

Master Piece!
Another one of the Nobuo Uematsu and his colleague work. After I has listened its, I can't help to purchase to be my own collection. You can enjoy the music melody and the music emotions. The II album is the BEST!!

Great Album
The second album by The Black Mages. If you enjoy the 1st album, you will sure enjoy the 2nd album. There are vocal this time round (Otherworld and Skies Above) & you will be surprise when you 1st listen to it. Blue Blast is a original track added to the 2nd album.
Really enjoy this album, a must buy for The Black Mages fan!!

Great If You Loved the First
If you don't own The Black Mages I, buy that first, as it is overall a better album. However, I still highly recommend II. There are a few love-it-or-hate-it moments (the vocals on Otherworld and Skies Above, for example), but I found that I enjoyed them more and more with repeated listens. This is a fantastic collection of progressive synth metal music sure to please many.
If you don't own The Black Mages I, buy that first, as it is overall a better album. However, I still highly recommend II. There are a few love-it-or-hate-it moments (the vocals on Otherworld and Skies Above, for example), but I found that I enjoyed them more and more with repeated listens.
