Unlike many other games, Subarashiki Kono Sekai a.k.a The World Ends with You uses an ample amount of vocals in its soundtrack. This rather unique feature of the game does not only set it apart from other games, but also gained a tremendous amount of support from the fans because these strong beat vocals simply refused to stay in the background and are perpetually stuck in the players' minds.
Ishimoto Takeharu who wrote the songs for the game aims to surpass his own work when he produced this arranged disk. Since there are so many songs from the series, the ones that this CD include are the most popular, as shown by the polls conducted at the Square Enix website.
