Rockman, the twenty year old series is still going strong with its ninth installment about to be released on Nintendo Wii Ware. To realize the full potential of the game, instead of distracting players with fancy graphics and special effects, the game is produced in retro style.
However, this does not mean that the composers could not play around with the music of the game. Rockman 9 The Arrange Album added flavor and polish to the themes such that they display both a refreshing feel while retaining the familiar nostalgic sentiment.
Amazing Music While this soundtrack does stray away from the original music, all of it sounds great and is easily recognizable. It has been optimized for casual listening, not for use with the game, so it sounds mellower. But it's all high-quality, beautiful music. There's also a lot of variety. This album has metal, funk, techno, ska, orchestrations, piano pieces, and pop all on one disc. Plus, it comes with an amazing (but short) prequel manga. This is a must-have for Rockman fans!

Worst Arrange track yet Compared to the Rockman Zero Remastered Tracks, Rockman 9 Arrange is a huge disappointment. While it consists of wide variety of music styles, only few actually sound like their game counterpart. This variety isn't a good thing, as most tracks just sound plain wrong. Worst arrange soundtrack that Capcom has ever released and I am sad that I bought this.
