The Final Fantasy XII Original Soundtrack is based on Square-Enix's record-selling PlayStation2 hit RPG game Final Fantasy XII, which was released on March 16th, 2006. The album contains the complete BGM of the game, composed, arranged and produced by mastermind Hitoshi Sakimoto (who has been in charge of other popular video game music projects, such as "Vagrant Story", "Final Fantasy Tactics" and "Radiant Silvergun").
The 4-disc soundtrack contains a total of 100 tracks, including the theme songs Symphonic Poem: Hope (composed by Taro Hakase and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra) and Kokoro no Senshi as well as Kiss Me Good-Bye (performed by Angela Aki).
