great kof! great soundtrack.
The last KOF before everything changed
This is the last of Neo Geo's classic series before it took a 90deg turn towards other direction. Both visual/art & playing style.
The story now focus on clones, very different and less convincing than the pre'97 stories. New characters has been introduced since 1997, graphics & sound have improved. The backdash is now automatic dashing forward afterwards unless you cancel with a move. The last KOF game released on Neo Geo CD.

One Of The Best King Of Fighters Series
King Of Fighters 99 (KOF 99) for Neo Geo has what it takes to be a great game overall. To start off with, the characters are huge & detailed, most of the stages looked fantastic and most of all, the gameplay flows smoothly. There are no cheap play from the computer AI and the characters are well balanced. I really enjoyed playing this game whether its playing alone or with friends. Initially, I was doubtful that they could produced another great follow up after KOF 98 but hell, they did. KOF 99 ranks along side one of the best for the KOF series. SNK rules!
