Clalaclan, the princess knight from Shining Wind reappears in a black dress. While her white dress version displays her sublime beauty and noble bearings, her black dress brings out a darker sensuality in her.
To go with the black dress, the sculptor Noriyama Houjun readjusted the tones of her skin, her hair and redrawn her eyes to heighten her seductiveness.

You can have any colour you like, so long as it's Black.
This is (like all Kotobukiya figures) a great piece, a nice size, lovely features and excellent paintwork, I have both this Noir version and the Alice in wonderland Pale blue, but something about the black really makes this figure more appealing than her pale counterpart.

Another highly detailed figurine
There was a lot to get wrong with this version of Philias. So much figurine! However, again another great representation of one of the Shining wind girls. As you would expect from the photos it's large (need a bit of shelf space) and a bit on the heavy side. But that doesn't detract from what is a great figurine. I'm a fan of the series. If you are as well buy this figurine.

Which is best black or white?
You know when you buy a Kotobukiya figurine you are going to get a high quality piece no matter what character is being reprersented. In this case we have Clalaclan in a maid's outfit. The figure is highly detailed and solid. Unusually she is attached to the base via a screw. I've not attempted to remove the figurine preferring to keep it pristine. This is the Noir version of the maid's outfit following the release last year of the same figurine in a white and pale blue outfit. Which is best? Well hard to say. It depends on your preferences to dark or pale clothing representations of figurines.
This is the second time that Clalaclan has been represented in white and Noir versions. None of the other Shining Tears/Wind characters have been so represented. I wonder why?
A new Clalaclan figure is up for preorder. I suspect that will come in a Noir version as well.
