See their action on screen, act your own scenes at home. The first three action figures to come are Lightning, Snow and Vanille, the three who made their appearances in the trailers.
Lightning, the stoic, androgynous beauty is the image girl of the game. Very little is known about her, not even her real name, the only thing we could see was her deadly elegance during the action scenes.
Every strand of silvery red hair is crafted to perfection, defiance and determination shines in her eyes, recreate your favourite scene in the game, or create your own storyline with her.
Amazing! I baught this Lighting figure for a friend as a gift and when I saw him opening you should have seen the look on his face. The quality and attention to detail is amazing and it also comes with different attachments for weapons . This is will certainly make a nice piece for any figure collector's dream.

Nicely detailed If you like to pose your figurines then I suppose this would really be a 5 star. I tend to like my figurines without joints and set in a permanent pose (Kotobukiya do this style well). That's the reason for the drop to 4 stars.
That said the articulation on this new series is much better than on the older Play Arts figurines. And is it me or do they appear more detailed? They are also taller than previous iterations as some of the other reviewers have pointed out.
Lightning certainly looks like her character in the game and the extra pieces are surprisingly detailed as well. I have not had the problem that one reviewer had with the softness of the weapons. Perhaps expectations were different.
Overall a nice addition to the FF Play Arts series and if you are a FF fan then you should buy this. She looks good on the shelf either in a pose or in box. I do hope though, SquareEnix do a fixed action pose Lightning in due course. That would be good.

My favourite Play Arts figure! Snow and Vanille figures are good but Lightning is definitely better!
You get both of her weapon accessories which appear to be a hybrid gun and sword. I haven't played the game yet so I'm not knowledgeable on the weapons...
I found this one the easiest to pose, it appears to have slightly better articulation.
I highly recommend it.

Simply great! Just received mine today and I must say this is the best FF Play Arts figure I've ever purchased so far.
At first glance, it didn't look all that great when I received it, and the upper torso was at first kind of hard to attach to the lower parts. But once it's finally set up and played with, you'll see how great the figure is. Details are through the roof, capturing all the coolness factor of the character, and as others said, Light is beautiful and can be posed in so many different ways, which IMO is just as versatile as the RAH series figures. Totally worth the $50 price tag.
