Disappointed My understanding of these products is that while the individual figures are boxed in the same generic small box so that you won't know who it is until you open it, if you get a full case of 9 it would contain the full set of 5, plus four duplicates. With that in mind, I ordered a full case.
As soon as it arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the case was *not* factory sealed. There were in fact THREE seals on the box, and all three were broken. Hmm. I opened the box and opened each character one by one. I ended up with 1 Rinoa, 3 Yuna, 3 Vaan and 3 Penelo. No Cloud. That figures. The most popular character of the bunch, missing. Now, if the case was still factory sealed when it arrived, I'd conclude that I was wrong, you aren't guaranteed a full set in a case of 9. Rather than accuse Play-Asia of foul play, I will assume that in filling orders for individual figures, they ended up having to mix and match in order to fill my order. And I got screwed out of Cloud as a result. The figures I have are nice and they look great on my desk, but I can't help but be disappointed.

Wonderful collection!!! I adored this collection of the Final Fantasy. . . the characters are very well done and very beautiful. Badly I can wait to acquire the volume 2 of the collection.

Very nice! I love my figures, they look beautiful on my desk. I then gave my dupes to my friends for Christmas. They love them to. I can't wait for Vol 2 to hit in April.

Very cute These figures are extremely cute and a great size in my opinion - the fact that they're so small really brings out the amazing amount of detail on them. Particularly impressive are Cloud and Vaan's outfits.
There's very little fitting together to do, as well, which is good as it might become rather fiddly at that size.
The range of characters is nicely chosen, covering 4 of the games out of 5 figures, and it's great to see Vaan and Penelo as well as characters who've been represented quite a number of times before.
I ordered a box and got all the figures but Penelo twice. I noticed that with the Vaan duplicate, there were some notable differences in the faces - for example on one the eyes were very close together, on the other they were very far apart. This gave a few of them slightly different expressions from each other. I don't think it's a problem, just a point of interest.
Personally, I think they're great, and with their size they don't take up too much of your space.

Nice stuff I got Vaan. I wanted Penelo, but ah well. At least I got one from my second favorite Final Fantasy.
The paint job is average quality, which isn't saying much seeing as how I've got Nintendo figures that were cheaper than this but are better quality but don't take that to heart seeing as all Nintendo Gashapon are generally higher quality than others.
His face is adorable, though, and I love it, and I feel that it was worth the cost and two week shipping :D
Also, I do not think they are small because unlike most people, I did read the dimensions and figured it out with a ruler. It's no smaller than many of my other gashapon, but quite smaller than all of my trading figures.

Very Cute!!! There so cute and adorable! Just today, I got Yuna! She very cute when shes small. I'm going to try to collect them all.

Cute!!! I bought one set and I get Rinoa, Cloud, Penelo and Vaan x2 and only one Yuna. I agree they're small but if you love cute things and Final Fantasy (even if they're your favorites charas), be sure to buy them! They're well made, well painted (I don't understand why a buyer said they're not...) and a great item to add to your collection! Buy them before they come out of stock! :D

Okie minis! I'm hoping there's more than just Volume 1 for the Final Fantasy line up of characters. I was rather happy to see that they didn't just add the entire cast for the first set else I'd had to buy a lot more to complete the set and likely end up with doubles!
I bought four of them from Play Asia and got the following: Rinoa x2, Penelo and Vaan. Had to buy additional two more at my local store since it was available and wasn't random to complete my set of five.
I found the set lacking in terms of selection they chose. I really was hoping they'd put a secret character perhaps like Squall with the lonely Rinoa... or Tidus with the lonely Yuna... and of course Tifa or Aerith for Cloud. Only one that seem to fit together was from Final Fantasy XII with Vaan and Penelo. Other than that I had no problems with the paint jobs or poses that the characters came in... though I do agree with the other reviewers, that they are a bit smaller than I'd imagine them to be. Even the Disgaea palm figures are taller than these... and I think the Ragnarok Online figures are an inch taller than these too...

Over estimated Wow, I am impress with ff7seeker's analysis (3 below). These 5 minis are indeed a little too small than what the picture shows. The coloring is the most stunning. Yuna's outfit is most complex, why the pony tail is like on the hood though? hahaha I too noticed the sword is held too far from the back of Cloud. Penelo, hahaha... not only hair sticking way out, also there is 2 snapping parts that shows. Vaan's hand, no idea, I am going to check that out for myself. A bunch of surprises from these minis. They still are good for display, so enjoy them = )

Too small Got my random one today, I got Van!! Actually I've purchased small figures before but this was far too small than I expected. the picture is kinda tricky though .
Van looks cool though I'm happy I got him ^^
the hair color is awesome, the cloths are very detailed his hands has some trouble xD but since he is hiding him behind then it doesnt matter. I'm putting it in my bag as my lucky thing!

Not too Good... I got all 5 of my figures today...and had to say that i was very disapointed with the figures like Rinoa and Penelo.
I examined my 5 minis, the only one that i'm happy with is YUNA... her expression, paintjob, were the best and very similar with initial photos we saw in the promos...
Followed by cloud, the way he hold his sword was way too far from the initial pics....and his expression was not so...similar...but can be accepted...his hair colour abit...fade....suppose we compare his hair with Vaan and Penelo, his hair colour should be the most yellowish...yet....
3rd is Rinoa......overrall not bad but the fact that her experssion Differs Far beyond the initial pics made me very unhappy....especially her eyebrowns...
4th, Vaan...his paintjob on his clothes were great, superb especially his metallic shoes, but his hair...and his hands ...
Expression was ok, not too different from the initial one but....His hair was as though they were sticking/a part of his Cheek...And his hand....EW.....the paintjob is terrible!
finally Penelo...This is the worst Mini amongst the 5!!!!
Her hair is like sticking way Out ...this is the part i cant accept!!!!!!!!!!
And her expression....ew....ugly! (Well at least for me la) the only part of her that consoles me is her leather like bots, that is the best....
I had high expectations but....maybe too high....

nice little series A great little set, sicely detailed, and small enough to display the whole set without looking "too much". I ordered a sealed box, and got a complete set, as well as doubles of all the figures except cloud :(
