I bought a PSP about a month ago and I love the browser, the games, the ability to play music, and the ability to play my downloaded videos. It is awesome. If I get bored playing the game or watching a UMD, I just switch to my saved videos or music and enjoy. I love it. If you don't have one, you better go out and get one now.

The psp is awsome. I just got my psp about a week ago. Games a decent but I didn't get it for games. Games bore me. I'm using for purly a media player. Now since I got the browser downloaded and installed I've bin using it even more so. I just wish they would come out with a region free psp. I don't like american movies and the only umd I'd watch is anima and such.

I brought one about 4 months ago and its wonderful, BUT can I give a word of warning to others, my brother brought one from the States and the joystick on his broke today, Sony UK told him that is would cost £135.00 to repair it because it was the american version. That's about how much he paid for the thing in the first place. Great game system but I don't think much of SONY themselves

At the moment for a games machine the games are a bit...Meh. The ds has much better games at the moment. Looks like the xbox of handhelds in more ways than one. There are hardly any decent japanese games for it save Ridge Racers and Metal Gear AC!D. It is a very good machine that you will appreciate if you get one and it has a lot of potential but it's just not worth it yet. For importers the DS just has more interesting games. If it turns into a PS2 port machine it is doomed to failure. This worthy handheld doesn't deserve that though.

This is one excellent hand held. Crystal clear display and the capabilities make it stronger than the DS in 3D graphics from a technical viewpoint.

I wouldn't go saying that the DS is any worse though. Of course the dual screen and touch screen is a gimmick but it's a LOT of fun as well.

if we break it down here we have PSP

-a sleak, and comfortable design
-a handheld that produces better graphics then that of the PS2
-a handheld able to play music/movies
-a handheld which you can soon upgrade its OS
-a handheld that by all rights is WiFi

the battery life of the PSP is 2hrs for movies(nonstop) 4hrs for games(non stop), and 11hrs for Music(non stop)

dont ask me why, but make sure the machines fully charged before watching a movie

i would also like to put to rest any rumours of the PSP"s square button, less then 1000units were sent back in Japan, NO MORE, the problem is fixed and your PSP should work perfectly when you recieve

also i would like to put to rest any issues with "dead pixels" unfortunatly that was just a rumour, and a very minor problem that affected some peoples PSP"s not all

Sony have produced a great machine here, and i hope my comments have helped you decide to buy the machine

i fully reccommed the PSP, it will soon have a huge catologue of triple AAA titles

but if you feel the need to buy the Nintendo DS for the 50th mario iteration be my guest, ive always felt the duel screen was just a gimmick that will wear thin pretty quickly

The graphics are brilliant as good as the ps2. The psp is far better than the nintendo ds and I dont care what anyone else says its better. Buy this PSP now, mine arrived today after a four day wait and I played Ridge Racer non-stop for 3 hours.

No matter how high your expectantions the PSP will still be great and the graphics are brilliant.

The PSP menu is in English, the Ridge Racer game is in Japanese but is really easy to understand and all the gameplay is in Englisg and also explanation of the race and controller setup is in English.

10/10 - you have to buy it

OMG! You really have no clue as to what you speak. Nintendo GB "legecy" rid the coatail or Famicom, and GBA SuperFamicom. Listen Just cause your mad that you mother didn't get you and NDS that almost cost that same as this item. But runs a hell of a lot slower doesn't mean you need to down talk it. No body cares about how you want a "legecy", how about you go to college make money.... then make your own company. Then apon doing so you will have everyright to put down anything within your field. I played this system at E3 in Japan, and I was extremely surprised to see that it is so "unique" yet "original" at the same time. This system "in my opinion" can hold its ground and fight this "absurd" Nintendo handheld "war". But please at lease look more into something before you buy it. For this product is not for everyone.

Wow! I'm not shocked at all, The only way it will sale big is because of the name of the handheld system(PlayStation)..It's riding the coat tail of the ps2 just to sale units. How come sony didn't give their handheld system it's own name like nintendo gave their handheld systems?(GB,GB pocket,GB color,GB advance,GBA SP and now NDS...The gameboy has builded it's own legacy not by riding the coat tail of the home consoles (NES,SNES,N64,GCN)..That's what made it stand out from many other handhelds of the past and future handhelds. I give sony it's props for a good looking handheld system but I see nothing new about it..just another handheld.

I have to say, the PSP definetly looks impressive.... but the DS is putting up some compition. The N-Gage is down the drain already, but the DS has a start.... they both have good and bad sides to counter at, as does every system played. Yes, I think i'm going to enjoy trying both. They are definetly on pre-order for me. I still can't decide which one I like best, only 1 way to find out!
