Awesome game! Wow!
Game was awesome, I couldn't put it down - I got into the whole naruto craze after playing some games and now I'm lovin naruto :)

I don't know any Higarana, Katakana, or Kanji, a little Romanji, that's it. All Japanese symbols. Peroid. Don't let this steer you away, though. You CAN get through story and about everything else w/o Japanese. You might not enjoy story, though.


If you want it for the fighting, however...

AMAZING.

It gets a little boring after 50 or so straight matches, though. But, after about a hour; you'll go back for more.

The game is never boring. I played Naruto mode and Jiraiya mode soo many times and never got sick and tired of it!!! Can't wait till they come out with a Shippuuden Portable!!!!!

Great game
:D It's a great game with an interesting story mode. If the story mode doesn't keep you busy, you can simply play in versus mode.

Awesome Game, Totally Worth It!
Awesome Game, but, onlydissapointing part is the lack of characters(my opinion). I was hoping for around 30-40 but there is only around 10-20(i forgot and im too lazy to count em). Overall its an awesome game and totally worth the fifty bucks.

GREAT and doesn't get boring!
I pre-ordered this game and got it 2 days after it was out in the mail and I still play it up to today and will continue to. I play the 1P vs. Comp. most of the time but sometimes I play the story mode over and over. :-D

Never gets boring :)
I got this game right before the summer of 2006 and the second I got it, I popped it in my PSP and played. Up to now, January 15, 2007, I still keep playing 1P vs. Computer and it never has gotten boring. Loads extremely fast, not as many characters and I would like but still amazing.

This game is danm good. if your a die hard naruto fan like me, I think you'll love this game. The only flaw in this game is that I can't speak japenese, and they talk way too much. I think that everyone who has a psp should get this game. In the first story mode you play as naruto and your party or the pepole you travel with such as Hinata and once you get to the 50th floor you have all of ypur arty members like Hinata,Kiba,Ino,Shino,Choji,Kakashi and Guy. But when you to the 80th or 90th floor you get Gara in your party. In the 2nd story mode you play as Jiriaya and your party members are Tsunade,Shizune, and Kakashi. I've beat the game and its probably the best fighting game there will ever be.....for now

I liked this game because it has about 20 characters to fight with, and all have their own special powers. The have the original voices and the stages are so well done.

I have not experinced any lag on the game and the pace is fast, just like a bigger console.

An alright game
This game is pretty addicting but it is short though. There are 2 story lines that deals with climbing and going o the basement. One contains 100 Flights up the tower and it is completely boring after you get halfway because the enemies are easy. The second one is 30 floors into the basement and it is a bit better cause you fight stronger enemies. There is ALOT OF TALKING and if you don't understand japanese or Korean (whatever version you get) that well, then you are in for alot of yammering. Did I mention there is no way to skip the about 3-5 min talking scenes. Anyways the videos in the game are pretty cool. Anyways, the game is all around fun every once in a while, but i suggest you find someone to play against because it's boring fighting a computer. There are 23 characters in the game but if you want more characters then i suggest you buy the PS2 narutimete heroes. One last thing. There is a way to do 2 player fights with one UMD, but you'll have to figure that out like others have. Anyways, it is passable, but if you like to play the narutimete games then buy it. I bought it because I like naruto and im trying to get better playing the Narutimete games.

this game is pretty sweet although you guys are right the story mode does suck and its to short not a lot of charectars but its a great game all together its a game for a die hard naruto fan like me if you have a psp and you like naruto you should get this game!!!!!!

Nice Naruto game .....
this falters in comparison w/ naruto3 ps2 and gekito taisen4 on gamecube. Still, its fun to play even though kidoumaru and temari aren't in the game. My personal opinion rating is a 6/10 ! Story mode is a bit suspect and u all know it ......

I got this game and I had really high hopes. I have never played Narutimate hero 2 or 3. I got this game and started playing it and found it is different than what I expected. The story mode is terrible because of the stupid mini games. There is absolutly no point for the. I would much rather have a story mode where u fight instead of...TRIVIA that u can't read so u just guess the answer and theres a 30% chance u are right. Besides that the fighting is GREAT!!! Unfortunataly, the story mode lacks. I couldn't believe I spent so much time to do all 100+ levels. I just play the arcade mode now. O...did i mention the really cool cut-scenes? They are 3-3 and really great looking...but theres only five of them!!! All in all, this game is only for die-hard fans, and even they may be disappointed, because I'm a die-hard fan and i know I was. This game is passable, and fare at best.

Great Game
When i first got the naruto 4 on the gamecube i was a tab bit let down, but this one is great! fast paced action and great animations for the PSP(which let me down in games alittle in the beginning).

The story mode seems like a bad episode from the run of filler in the Naruto series right now, but its passable.

To bad the combo system on any Anime games pale in comparison to games like Soul Caliber 3 or DOA

A marketing tool
When they first announced Naruto for the PSP I was very excited, but when I received the game, I was so disappointed.
This game follows the trend of Naruto 4 and Bleach for the GameCube.
People will buy the game only because of the title.

Let me sum up the pros and cons.

Pros:
- Original voices
- Some specials are cool
- Very good soundtrack

Cons:
- The characters are very vague, its very difficult to see their faces clearly. There are too many sprites.
- The gameplay is so shallow, no depth in combo’s, always the choice of the same combo combinations.
- The characters moves are very stiff, when you control them it doesn’t feel smooth, so playing the game feels so unnatural.
- The stoy mode is a joke, 100 levels up and 30 down, total of 130 levels of repetitive mini games, over and over and over again. Tree game, shadow game, ebisu game, lucky slots, fight and Ikura question game.
- Not so many characters to choose from, its not always a bad thing, if the characters have depth. But these characters are so shallow, that you have fun with them for a short period of time.
- The replay value of this game is low, beating the repetitive 130 levels of story mode and unlocking all the characters and other useless stuff, you have seen everything.

I think this game wont even save the medium naruto fans. But if you are a Die Hard to the bone Naruto fan, then this game is Highly Recommended. And if you are just looking for a decent fighting game for the PSP, look further.

Best PSP game yet
The game rocks and its not some game you can beat in just one day.To me, this is the best psp game out so far.

Totally Mind Blowing
This game is exactly what every Naruto fan needs. And when I Found out there's A 2nd story mode it blew my mind.

this game has all the characters you could ever want. i've beaten the whole game and it's well worth it. plus it won't get boring you can continue to replay it. even the story mode. it's a pretty lengthy game for a fighting game. and yes sasuke is in it you have to go up 100 floors and beat the 1st story mode to get him though.

I'm not sure, but it seems the official site has all the characters. There's Itachi, Lee, Orochimaru in the game. For me it's more than enough. I mean it will be soon.

well i played it and i have to say it is very good game.one of the flaws is the rpg mode wich can get a bit repetiteve.to unlock characters is a little bit hard but still is cool.so if u have a psp and like fighting games and love naruto like me this is a must get for your collection

great game ............
the game is great has many characters but i dont know how 2 unlock them lol. u start out with 14, n have 2 unlock 9. the fight is like the ps2 a litle bit of part 2 mixed with part 3. like naruto has the kyubi level 2 Rasenga as his spec. but u dont stay in the form after the move u have the red Chakra like in part 2. over rall the game is hot, cant wait till i unlock someone

Got it, it's not dissappointing
I recieved the game in the mail yesterday and have been playing it whenever possible. It has a neat little RPG mode in which you travel up different levels of the castle chosing different paths. I haven't unlocked all of the characters yet but they show all of the shadows of the characters that can be unlocked and I counted about 23. I still have much more to play. The only drawback I've found in this game is that the fighting style and moves for each character are based on those in Narutimett hero 2 not 3. The specials however, are a pretty new deviation of what we have seen before. The jutsus are also duplicates of those found in Narutimett hero 2. When I get all of the characters and have completed the different modes I will write back with a follow up. As for now, it's a great game.
