Taito's stellar shooter Darius is coming to the Sony PSP. With the wide screen and high resolution graphics, you can better admire the chic, fish-like air ships and enjoy the excitement of shooting the aliens down.

Darius PSP takes us to the farthest future. It follows the storyline in Darius Gaiden. In the first installment of the series, Planet Darius is attacked by the Perusas and a number of the residents fled to Planet Vatis. These people are now trying to make their way back to their mother planet.

Pilot your silver hawk, make use of your bullets, your bombs and arms (shields). Collect items to power them up and head off to wipe out your enemies' bases. There are several modes, you clear stages and fight bosses in the Arcade Mode, clear missions in the Mission Mode and clear the game under stringent rules in the Burst Mode.

Darius Burst - A Burst of Fun
I am a fan of the old style shoot-em-ups such as thunderforce, lightningforce, gradius, Darius of course and many others along those lines. Grew up with them and saw them start to fade for a while but seeing this again is awesome and better still is how well the game plays and looks. If you want to test your hand/eye coordination or just test reflexes or hand dexterity this is a great game for it. The ships movement is perfect (not too fast not too slow) and the action builds up nicely on each level with the boss fights being very dramatic. It has a very high level of replayability with unlocks after you beat it and a variable path that you can choose as you play along. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and a must have for anyone with even the slightest interest in shoot-em-ups.

Darius Burst
After waiting for a new entry for so long, Darius Burst is a nice taste of Taito's memorable series! Darius fans will be pleased to see familiar branching stages, and bosses return and looking better then ever, with some of the smoothest gameplay to date. Bosses are the real stars of the show, just like G-Darius, boss battles are intense and have a variety of attacks to learn. Where Darius Burst really shines though is it's new Mission Mode which gives you short bursts of gameplay in the form of nearly 80 missions, such as tackling a boss, or completing stages with special conditions. A must buy for Darius fans.

best game ever
just buy it...it's a great game to add to your psp collection...the graphic are good...no bugs...and the game interface is in english...but the japanese stuff is easy to understand...i really loved the music...hated that the game was a bit short...but at least it's replayable

Darius Burst ----- a must have!!!!!
If you're a fan of the Darius series, then you'll find a lot of familiar faces. From the grunts to the bosses, it will all feel familiar. Like in the past, most of the enemies are mechanized sea creatures. The game retains its old level select system where you choose which level you'd like to go to after defeating a boss. There are a total of 11 levels, but you can only play 5 during each run of the game. The difficulty of the game depends on which level you choose at the end of each stage. The power-up system is also the same as previous Darius games. Just collect the color orbs to build up your main weapon, missiles, and shield. So what did they add to this latest installment of killing fish of steel? There is a new ship called Legend Silverhawk, which is your default ship. Next there are two unlockable ships. One called "Next Silver Hawk" and the other, "Origin Silver Hawk". The Next Silver Hawk is a new type of Darius ship, and the Origin Silver Hawk is what its name implies, the original Silver Hawk from the first Darius games.

A New Darius Game woohoo!
Finally Darius comes to the PSP. This game is great fun. Best shmup for the PSP hands down. Visually spectacular, and great music too. Absolutely recommended.
