Fantastic game
The game is pretty good it has a great story, which you can see on several sites. It spans all the manga and anime leading up to the game. It also explains some plot holes and a sneak peak into the .hack//the movie that takes place 4 years in the future. The down side of the game is the repeatedly same stages with no dungeons, monsters and charecters are from r2 even though you play r1 for some good portion of the game. Also there are no actual scenes with movement throughout the game. If you can deal with that then this is the game for you!!!!!!!

Alright.
The game is good, and great for .hack fans, it just seems a little shallow.

A great way to end the series.
The gameplay is fun, and the story is as well. The
action is fast paced, and easy to get the hang of.
Despite being a downgrade from the console versions, the voice acting and art used for story telling is still top notch, and so is the music.
The game has it's own original soundtrack rather than use the tracks from the older games, however boss battles will use special vocal tracks based on the series they're related to. The bosses original to Link also have new vocal tracks as well.
Down sides:
While the combat is fun at 1st, it gets repetitive really fast as your really just doing the same thing over and over again until the end of the game.
Adhoc tries to add a multi player aspect to it, however it's incredibly limited in what it can do, and just feels like an after thought they through in.
There's absolutely no replay ability to this game. Once you clear a story related mission/Stage. The most you can do just view the events to it, not actually play them. There's also no way to re fight bosses and such unless you use a save file prior to playing the wanted mission.
Overall .hack//Link was a great way to end the series. It was essentially a compilation of every single entry in the franchise, and reminded fans what they loved about each of those entries from years past.
Fans of the series won't be disappointed.
