description
As a hunter based in Poke village, you hunt the monsters that are threatening the safety of the people and the development of the village. You are rewarded through monetary means, items or weapons for your services to the people. In this second powered up installment, G-level quests are available, the road ahead for the monster hunter is dangerous, but there is no occupation more exciting than this one!
Make use of the facilities in the village like the farms and training grounds. Venture into the wild fields and jungles to encounter fearsome monsters, there are more species to hunt down this time. Battle them and acquire their hide or claws as add-ons for your armor and weapons.
Although fighting the massive creatures single-handedly is an immensely satisfying experience, you need not fight alone. By using the network function on your PSP, gather a few friends and conduct a hunting party.

Amazing
I first started with mhfu and after reaching hr9 thought it would be nice to play this game!! Bought it and even though it's in Japanese nothing was different except (o) and (x) button in certain places!! Overall this has been an amazing experience specially trying to understand some Japanese!!!

As the Western debut of the much feted '2G' iteration of Monster Hunter, 'Freedom Unite' is hands down the definitive Monster Hunter title for the PSP, more than showcasing the years of refinement of this series outings on the PS2 & PSP before the juggernaut franchise (in Japan at least) landed on the Wii.
And at just over 15 bucks there's little excuse for fans and novices not to pick this up. Greatness indeed !!

Fantastic Gameplay
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite improves upon its predecessor with better graphics & gameplay. The game is immense & once started playing, you will find it hard to put it down. Its that addictive & the great price offered by PlayAsia is another plus point.

Great Game Never Ending!
Wow, I am amazed by the depth of this game. So many monsters to hunt, so many missions to accomplish, it's really worth my precious time and money. And of course the low price offered by Playasia!

The best portable version of the Monster Hunter Series. I've been a fan since the Monster Hunter Tri version, and this is an excellent option for those who want hunt the dinosaurs outside his/her home!

I See Why This Game Is So Popular.
This game is great and very addicting. Is has the complete recipe as to why a game would succeed. The music is great, there is plenty of maps on which to quest on, let me forget the sheer number of weapons, armor, and items that the game possesses. This is a game tailored to the player in every way as it can be played in short burst or in long epic endeavors.
I must say that capcom has had come up with an excellent series in Monster Hunter and this sediment is echoed by millions of players. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is truly a first class game that provides endless amounts of game play. I recommend this game to anybody even remotely interested in video games.

Best Monster Hunter Game To Date
I spent a little over 150 hours before I beat this game. That shows you how much of a challenge it is!
I LOVE the G Class Monsters that you get fight when you reach the end! They are every bit as hard as you would imagine Capcom could make them.
There is an awesome selection of armor sets to choose from! The weapons can be upgraded over and over making the weakest and most menial weapon into the Ukanlos slayer weapon! Even if you play by yourself much like me it is still beatable. Of course I can imagine it would be a lot easier with friends.
To sum it all up this game is worth purchasing. In fact I would advise it.

This is one of the greatest game in PSP.

You will never understand why this game is played by 90% of PSP owners in Japan unless you play it yourself. Totally addictive and fun! The fun gets even better if you have a buddy to play co-op with.

After playing MHP2G for thousand hours, then spent another couple hundred hours on Wii's MH3, but in the end still come back and replay MHFU from the start. Greatest game with greatest replay value on PSP.

The biggest Monster Hunter game to date and still much better value than the latest edition, Monster Hunter Tri, on Wii.
Nearly 200 hrs later and I'm still only about 3/4 of the way through completing everything in this game. Tons of content, loads to learn and dozens of strategies to tackle each quest. This is a complete gaming experience which you can cater to your individual playing style.

Definitely not for those at the faint of heart. Great game that rewards players for the amount of time and skill they put into it.
If you like seeing your characters appearance change when you get new weapons and armor you will love this game. And with the amount of weapons and armor in the game there are endless amounts of combos.

An extension to Monster Hunter Freedom
Yes this game is an extension to original Monster Hunter Freedom, so you can't expect new background story. The great work of Capcom is started by cutting the loading time while adventuring the parts of the map. To add the excitement there are new monsters to hunt down, which also means new combination of weapons and armors to forge.
It is also nice if you try multiplayer feature of the game with some friends, since this is what Monster Hunter actually all about: co-op hunting. There are some huge monsters created specially for these events, so spend your time together more.

I've seen my friends play the previous versions and decided to get my own when the next one in the series came out.
I love it. There's plenty of replayability and content, great multiplayer value that can offer an estimate of 150 to 200 hours of play. The challenge is there, and the differing play styles with varying weapons will definitely add to the ways you can overcome a given challenge.

One of my favourite games on PSP
The excitement of hunting down large monsters is really satisfying. And there are lots of quests to do, materials to collect, and gears to make. Decent graphics, the environment is really well made, plus the music and sound effects, a game definitely worth buying.

A very beautiful game, Monster Hunter leaves me busy for hours. It's difficulty challenge you to get the best out of it.
The sound is mind blowing and the graphics, WOW! You will really get more than your money's worth from thus game.

It's a long, hard road to mastery, but it's SO SATISFYING to finally bring down your quarry.
Beautiful environments, savage battles and more content than you can shake a stick at. This is more than a mere expansion, and well worth the price.

A very long lasting game
This game got a lot of contents and its really worth the purchase and to be honest I have never played any Monster Hunter game before and this is my first Monster Hunter game in the series and now I am a big fan of the entire series!

Really, this game deserves all tha praises it can get, beautifull grafics. a very deed gameplay system, its just great when there is a monster really hard to beat and later on the game you are wearing a full armor made from pieces from that bastard!!!.

Brilliant!!!
I loved MHF2 and MHFU just adds so much more new stuff like levels, monsters etc. But especially a whole bunch new functionality and user friendliness! PLUS Data Install kills load times!

FASTER LOADING, FELYNE FIGHTER, NEW EQUIPMENTS !!
With the Media Install option, you'd now have faster loading screens.
With the addition of Felyne Fighter, you'd no longer have to hunt by yourself when no friends are around!

A Must Have!

I will admit you have to really get into it before it's fully enjoyed.

if have been a fan of the series, then this next bonus installment should make you pretty happy.
some all new monsters have been added, along with quests that take place in the first monster hunter portable game zones(like the old desert, swamp, jungle), and you can bring the felynes along with you in this game as a friend to help fight the monsters!
there are different colored variants of old monsters also that i hear have some new attacks. they have made farming a bit easier and you can now combine items directly in your item box.
like i said if you are a fan of the series i dont know why you would be dissapointed.
