This is one of the latest Empires in Musou series, both Dynasty and Samurai warriors. One of the best part in this game is, you can create your "own" character using existing character's model!!! Imagine that you created a loli with LuBu's model, incredible!!!!
This is one of the good games recommended to play with!!

This is the 3rd installment of the empires series. In shin sangoku musou 5 empires, you can now choose to be an officer serving under a lord! You can be a loyal officer who advised on your lord's decision or be an unfaithful officer who betray their lord for gold like lu bu! Playing as lord has also given a whole new card system which aids to strategy on recovering your army or making pact with others to protect yourself. The whole new skill system is amazing as well, allowing you to survive on the battlefield easier even for beginners! There is also the ambush system, entering your opponent's base unseen and catch them off guard by setting it on fire! Not only that, in empires 5, you can move in water!! which gives more accessiblity. The "Create-an-offcier" gives much more vairety of editing and theres even DLC for some costumes from their other famous game. The BGMs are superb as well, the DLC also provide some old BGM for you to enjoy!

Although there maybe little event or cutscene, this game is still a great successful empires game. which i reccommend it a must try especially if you are a dynasty warriors fan.

A great improvement from the original
The graphics have improved in this revamped version and now u can play as ANY character in the game . Yes , including all generic officers. Added with the number of characters u can create in EDIT MODE , u have a total of 350 characters to choose from ( but the generics die rather easily tho cos their attacks are much lousier) . Also within a period of a few months , u may have an unaligned wandering officer join your team and he will be stuck with u for the rest of the time unless u fire him. When u are a ruler , every time u finish a battle u can get to hire or release some of the officers tat u have defeated in tat battle. U have a max of abt 10 officers in yr team. When it exceeds tat u will have to replace the officer u have captured with the one in yr team. Also , the renbu bar is removed and now u will only achieve renbu thru leveling yr weapon in the blacksmith's shop , using yr funds. for example at lvl 1 renbu rank 1 , level 5 renbu rank 2 level 10 renbu rank 3 . EDIT MODE is also a great improvement since DW5 empires. In the name creation , for the jap version ,u can get to choose a wide range of hiragana , katakana and kanji to name yr charac , with 6 letter spaces available as well as english characters , thus i find this more worth it since u can get more name options than English version which has only lettters. Another major point is jap voice acting is WAY better than the horrendous english one. and now u can jump up walls in the hills to get into a base. Also u have a, range of skills to use during battle which u can assign to yr 4 buttons such as Blizzard , Stone bombardment , Ice whirlpool , true speed to yr weapon as well as some other skills that can improve yr attack during battle , and also a mini skill tree . BETTER get this game its so good !!!

this time you can play as an officer!! with addition of oath and marriage into the mix!! tons of caw combinations for your own choices, plus free DLC for caw parts n new bgms.

although there're few event scenes or cg scenes as well as historical special events. this is still a great game, try it if you love to play previous empires titles. if you are first time to empires, this one too is a good start for you.
