EPICNESS
... is all i can describe this with. it is the greatest FIGHTER for the ds, keep in mind i said fighter. The characters and arenas are from the jump graphic novels, both japanese and american series and are each unique in most ways. The controls and menus are easy to get used to as a english or other language speaker besides ...

description
Jump Ultimate Stars is the sequel to one of the best selling games of 2005, Jump Super Stars. It is the second collaboration between Nintendo of Japan and Jump magazine, this time incorporating 300 characters from 40 Shonen Jump properties.
The "Koma" battle system will still be used in this sequel with the original 4-by-5 grid and touch screen support. However a number of improvements have been made, including calling support characters into battle via L/R button, without using the touchpad. Characters can now cling on to ledges when falling adjacent to them and some of the stages include areas that can be reached by destroying walls, even the floor and ceiling.
As another major improvement, Jump Ultimate Stars now supports Wi-Fi battles, which allows gamers all around the world to combat against each other.

Welcome to the J Galaxy!
After countless online auction battles, I finally get my hands on this, the sequel to one of the hottest imports for the Nintendo DS. The game lets you take part in four-way brawls much like in Super Smash Bros., except you play as characters from Dragonball Z, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh! and other series from the Shonen Jump manga magazine. Despite the considerable language barrier, you won't have too much trouble constructing decks of 'koma' (comic book panels) that power up your 2D brawlers using the touch screen. But knowing Japanese (and being an avid reader of Jump) undoubtedly helps in fully enjoying the game's other goodies. But it's still fun being able to pit your manga characters against each other, or mixing and matching koma to create the ultimate fighting team. Now I'm off to fight that musclehead with the blond afro and long nosehairs.
This game is rated CERO A (All Ages): Violence.

Great Game, MUST HAVE FOR DS!!!
This is probably one of the best fighting games for the DS. It is similar to Super Smash Bros. in its fighting style and it has a large selection of playable characters. A must have for all DS owners

Jump Ultimate Stars
Jump Ultimate Stars is a must have game for a manga or anime fan. It is based on the popular comic digest Shonen Jump. It has manga series from Naruto to One Piece, Dragon Ball to Bleach and almost any Shonen Jump manga you can think of that come together to form a masterpiece of a game. Unfornately, it is in Japanese. However, the video game guides on the internet are extremely helpful. I reccomend this game to manga and anime fans, or people who enjoy fighting games.

Best Cartoon based game yet
Got to say this is awesome, I really bought it just for my son. I expected that I may want to play it myself. But I am totally hooked. I had to order my own.
For me part of the mystery is that it's in Japanese so I need to figure things out. Which adds to the total immersion kinda of like the first time I played Super Robot wars on the GBA.
