Slesnick is correct in comparing this game to Minesweeper. Like in Minesweeeper, the Slitherlink puzzle board is a grid of squares and in some of these squares are numbered "clues"--0, 1, 2 or 3. However, rather than flagging the bombs on the board, your goal in Slitherlink is to draw one continuous line; the numbered squares tell you how many sides of that square the line must (or must not) touch. In the end you have one unique answer to each puzzle that you can deduct from the given clues, making these puzzles well-designed and satisfying to complete. This game auto-saves and no knowledge of Japanese is needed to navigate the simple menus of the game. The game is simple yet well-made and a joy to play.

Most played game on my DS
I simply can't put this down. If you like simple and addictive number puzzles like Sudoku, you simply have to get this one. You don't need to understand Japanese to play.

Addictive
I think this might be the best puzzle game ever made. It works a bit like minesweeper, but requires a lot of deduction and logic. It's casual like Sudoku, not a lot of "action". But unlike Sudoku, you can recover if you make a mistake. There's a lot of puzzles, and controls work very well with the touchscreen. It has the same polish I've come to expect from the DS Puzzle Series games.
