Awesome! I only have 4 Japanese DS games currently, but this is my favorite. Very easy to play for those who can't read Japanese. The only place you might have trouble is with buy food items since there are no pictures to go along. Very fun and addictive. You open additional characters and features by winning matches much like in fighting games. I even like this better than Bleach DS 2nd, now my 2nd favorite J-DS game.

Great There are only a few tennis games for the DS right now and this one is easily the best. The use of the touch screen may be nominal and the game engine is that of a GBA game, but it works. I am a huge fan of the anime and manga so when I bought the game I had high expectations. The use of the characters signature techniques is awesome and the choice of characters is huge. Overall a great game and a great buy.

Great Game, But Multiplayer is Limited Firstly, I'd like to correct one of the earlier reviewers; there is no WiFi internet multiplayer for this game. This is rather unfortunate as it means you'll likely never get to play multiplayer unless you import a second copy.
As for the single-player game, I really love it. It's an excellent game with fun, over-the-top play mechanics. If you are a fan of the Prince of Tennis anime and manga series, you'll love playing as practically every character, complete with their signature shots, and with art and voice clips that you can unlock. Fans of fun arcadey sports games like the "Mario" or the "Street" series will like the huge range of special moves and character stats.
A detriment to the game would be that unlocking everything takes a very long time, as the various tournaments and the conditions for unlocking can be tedious and repetetive. Gameplay doesn't change much between any of the different modes, and you're likely to find yourself spamming the super shots just to get through the tournaments faster.
Thankfully, there are some different things to do besides the basic singles and doubles tournaments. There's a mix tournament that lets you play with a whole team, a betting arena that has you bet on the outcome of a CPU match, a little shop where you buy things for some of your characters, and you can look through the various things you've unlocked.
Definitely a good game, but you just might want to wait and see if there will be a sequel with WiFi.

Great Game If your a fan of the series and you own a DS, this game is for you. Like the previous games for the GBA, you have a whole selection of chracters with their signature moves. The machanics are the same from previous game, along with added features. With so many characters, coaches, and unlockables, this game will have you playing for a while
