description
Enter a courtroom like no other in the sequel to Capcom's surprise hit Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All (aka. Gyakuten Saiban 2 in Japan) introduces four new cases featuring new characters, plot twists and gameplay features. Players resume the role of Phoenix Wright, a defense attorney who must prove his client's innocence against the toughest of odds and most ruthless of adversaries.
As in the first Phoenix Wright game, each case involves two distinct storylines. In the investigation phase, you survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence that will be used in court. Then it's on to the court phase, where you pesent findings from the investigation to support your case, listen to testimonies, cross-examine witnesses, and tease out fact from fiction so you can prove your client's innocence. All presented in a comical anime style.
Just like its predecessor, Gyakuten Saiban 2 features full English/Japanese text support. Just press the lower button on the game's start screen to switch the game into English.
Gyakuten Saiban 2 is the second game in the popular court room battle series from Japan and ported from the original GBA version Gyakuten Saiban 2 to the Nintendo DS. The game is released as "Best Price" budget release version right away.

Not as good as the other two, but still good I must say, this second is rather disappointing as compared to the first and third installment of the PW series, due to the plot of the cases. (E.g. Some points are not clearly explained.) Even so, the psychelock feature is fun to play around with and scenes with the new characters are simply hilarious. All in all, this is still something I would recommend.
Above all other games.. the first game of this series is good, but the second one here is even better. Money well spent :)

it's aces!!! I finished this game a couple of weeks ago and am now eagerly awaiting delivery of GS3. There's not much I can add to everyone else's reviews, it's that good. Like GS1 the japanese version comes in both Japanese and English. This one has only 4 cases instead of 5, but the cases are just as difficult/ridiculous to solve, if not more so.

wow just wow!! OBJECTION!!! sorry after playing that game i have to stop random people in public by pointing and yelling objection lol
A+ Title Very impressed by this game. It is a lot like the original but it's still extremly fun to play. Well done Capcom.

Better than the first Loved it! Not a perfect game, but a good game nonetheless. I recommend it to anyone who has a DS.
watermelon(5) on 07, Feb. 2007 14:27 (HKT)
Fun and hilarity ensues The script is still as witty as the first installment, see most of the old characters, meet some new ones and be prepared for some weird circumstances and twisted cases.
A good continuation of the Phoenix Wright story. Definate must have if you've played and loved the first one!

Best DS Game Ever? Yes.
Gyakuten Saiban 2 re-assures the game series as the number one on Nintendo DS. Without a doubt a must-have title if you own a DS.
Short, but sweet. Let's put it like this: if you like mystery novels, like to think, like to investigate, and like surprises then this game is for you. Many people are put off when they see this is a game about a lawyer, but the game is so good this is criminal. Court procedures in the game do not reflect real life, for example there's no jury. It features top-notch anime inspired writing and unforgettable characters, and a sense of humor to boot.
The US version features excellent localization, keeping most of the name puns to keep many jokes in the game. In the previous games there were investigation scenes that were a bit boring. The sequel attempts to spice it up by adding the psyche-lock system, where you question and present evidence to make some characters reveal their deepest secrets.
Great writing and an involving story, a 4 out of five.
Best DS Series Around There is nothing more enjoyable, exciting and entertaining to play on the DS than the Phoenix Wright series, and Justice for All is a superb continuation of what began in the original game.
Be warned though! The cases and the investigations in this game are more challenging, but certainly something an Ace Attorney can handle!
More of the same... But in the best way possible. Phoenix Wright is like a fantastic interactive novel that keeps you sucked in until you see each case to it's conclusion.
Only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is the lack of a DS specific case, like the first one.

Almost too good It is, it really is.
Now, some of you may think that this game will be way shorter than " Ace Attorney ". It's not. I think it took me longer to beat this, than it took me to beat Ace Attorney.
The game is harder, but if you've played the previous game you wont notice much, cause you're skills have improved since " Ace Attorney ". The twists in the previous game wasn't anything.. really.. twisty. It made you go : - Oh poopie.
In this game, the twists are so twisty it makes your balls hurt, you're eyes bleed and your brain explode. It's a big, big poopie. I mean like, a very BIG poopie, really. Let's say Saturn without the ring, and formed like a turd, that's how big of a poopie it is.
If you don't have this game or do not intend to buy it, you don't deserve a DS. Heck, you don't deserve your computer.
So yeah, it's pretty darn good.
You are not prepared...!!
Sorry, just had to say it..

Laugh out loud funny! Amazing writing, and the twists keep getting better and better. This is an absolute must to own!

A fantastic sequel When I first heard that there were more Phoenix Wright games besides the original, I was pretty suspicious. A lame video game sequel is nothing new to the world, and following up a game as good as the first Phoenix Wright has to be pretty easy to screw up. Fortunately, this game is exactly what I had hoped for: more of the same great stories with about eight twists apiece. The writing and localization are extremely tight, and even though there are some minor faults (occasional typos, translators taking liberties by inserting their favorite inside jokes from the internet), it is still one of the best translations ever done for a video game. This sort of game is the reason why I keep playing video games and why I bought a DS in the first place. Despite it having one fewer case than the first game, it feels no shorter. Whenever I am asked by a friend which game they should buy, I always turn to the Phoenix Wright series, which shows that innovation and fun don't require crazy gameplay mechanics or even a free-roaming environment, just a solid idea and a good production team. If you loved the first one, you're in for more of the same, and if you're new to the series, I have yet to meet a person who hasn't fallen in love with this game.
koalide on 26, Nov. 2006 01:37 (HKT)
A must have for any DS owner This game is incredibly good and intense. It uses all the DS capabilities, and it's only letdown is that it just doesn't last long enough. Not that it's short, it's just that you can never have enough of such a good game.
But if you haven't played the first Phoenix Wright than you definately should, it has a much easier intro for first time players, and it introduces the story of the second.
tabraz_rashid(1) on 23, Nov. 2006 01:27 (HKT)
Simply Outstanding! This is a game that had me sucked in from the get go! If you are familiar with the original, you won't need my opinion to sway you, you'll already be wanting this! The price is fantastic, and with both Japanese and English available to choose from, you have no excuse! Get this game!

great game and awesome service this game is great.. i've always wanted to learn Japanese and with this game be able to go back and forth between the two languages, this is a small step towards my big dream lol.. it's just like the first with more cases, i know it's a direct port from the GBA one, but i think it's still worth the money.. i'm going to slowly work my way through the Phoenix Wright series! thank you play-asia for great service and fast shippment! i was always holding back from ordering stuff online but after this experience i'm definitely coming back for more!
cmcintosh(18) on 13, Nov. 2006 07:27 (HKT)
Another great game Capcom did it again. Pheonix wright 2 is just as good as the first, maybe even better. I just beat it yesterday and i can't wait for the next one. Its also a great deal to get the japanese version now, cause the english option is on the front menu of the game (the little brown button), and the translation is the exact same for the US version.
It has two new features, "Phyche-Lock" and a health bar. The health bar stays through the entire episode, and whenever you get a penalty in court, or a wrong answer when trying to break a phyche-lock, a part of your health bar will disappear according to how vital whatever you got wrong is. The only way to gain health back is by breaking phyche-locks. Phyche-locks appear during investigation mode, when a person is either lying or hiding something, and there are more phyche-locks depending on how strongly the person wants to keep it a secret. By presenting the right evidence while interregating the person you can break phyche-locks and gain important information to the case.
A must-have to everyone who played the first game.
teamspyder1985(1) on 13, Nov. 2006 00:05 (HKT)
I'll be honest! This game is fantastic! Bar none! It's just as good as the first one storywise. Gamplay wise is fun too! The only thing that kept it from being perfect to me is that most of the story got TOO aggravating and just too darn hard! Either way, this isn't the title to miss.
Peace and love!

Sucks you in and won't let go America needs more games in the vein of Phoenix Wright: Justice for All. It combines the classic wackiness of games like Monkey Island with the thrill of going up against an opponent - the prosecutor - and dominating them with your flawless logic. At first, I was afraid that the translation of the game would be unfinished and difficult to interpret, but the English option on this game appears to be essentially the same game that will launch in January here in the States. Switching to English is easy - just hit the little button at the bottom of the title screen and you'll hear Phoenix's familiar "OBJECTION!" I honestly cannot think of a single reason not to import this game. At $32 with saver shipping, you'll actually pay less for the import than you would for the American version!

Amazing Truely an amazing game. Worth every cent.

Amazing game The game helped me with my Phoenix Wright gaming withdrawls after i beat the first game, this ones is the SEQUEL and its in full english, at the title screen you just hit the english button and the game litterally morphs into the full English version of the game Phoenix Wright Ace Attourney:Justice for All.
I love capcom they know how to please their gamers. Again thanks play asia your the best!

Definite Buy! I couldn't wait for the US release any longer. I wasn't sure if this was import friendly until I read reviews from all over; all were positive. I couldn't agree more. This game is a must buy!

It's Freaking Amazing Gyakuten Saiban, or Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney : Justice for all, the second of the Gyakuten Saiban port's, is an amazing game. If you played the first one, then you need to get the second one, it is utterly one of the most amazing experiences in video gaming. The series is my own favorite game series, so of course I need to import it 3 months earlier! Great price, amazing game, great sequal.

Fabulous Nintendo Italy will release episode 1 only at the end of this month so I had to buy it seven months ago from the UK. Thanks to Play-Asia I own the second episode two weeks after the Japan release, months before European release and it's an excellent game.
Nintendo, don't forget your European gamers!
Meanwhile, thanks Play-Asia for their valuable service and great prices.

Can't Go Wrong on This! Being a big fan of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney I could not wait for the American release of its sequel. However, when I learned that it was available through Play-Asia 3 months sooner, already in English, AND at a great price I figured, why on earth should anyone wait for this title?? The game features the same excellent gameplay and perfect English translation that captures a wonderful sense of humor. Play-Asia offers great service and fast shipping-- one of the best places to shop for games. Don't miss out on this deal. =)

Best English GS/PW game yet I'm surprised to say that I love this Gyakuten Saiban even more than the first. The English translation is perfect, and the cases are even more engaging than the last time around.
I hope Gyakuten Saiban 3 receives the same DS port/localization treatment and 4 ends up with an English language option.
Kewne(2) on 02, Nov. 2006 06:02 (HKT)
IGIARI/OBJECTION! Phoenix Wright 2 (GS2) is awesome. English language is very accurate with little to no english errors. Which leads me to wonder, if the game is allready in english, why does it take a few extra months for the US release?
Thank you so much Play-Asia.com for making this possible!

Gyakuten Saiban Ichiban! This game is great to kill your time.
Unlike other game based on text and investigation.
the build in microphone allow you to shout "objection, take that, and such..."
i would say this game is quite rare, and ds user should pick this game up as there are english language too!
