description
More songs, more adventures and more fun. After defeating opponents from other dojos, the Taikos have embarked on a new journey to defeat the yokai (or devils). Win outfits and level up when you beat them.
This version will feature anime theme songs such as Totoro and Ponyo, Jpop songs such as Choo Choo train and rearranged classics such as Beethoven's symphonies. Taikos could play everything, and so do you.
With just one game software, a maximum of four people could join the party, you just need to turn on the Wi Fi control. Take part in the "Every Day Challenge" daily to see how much your taiko skills improved, win points and unlock new songs.

Everything thing that I loved about the arcade version and more!
Even if you don't know any Japanese, Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Dororon! Youkai Daikessen!! is still an enjoyable music/rhythm game. Its a super easy game to pick and play. The game has over 50 songs to play, including tracks by AKB48, Studio Ghibli, and Miku, making the game life last longer.
I'd recon this game to anyone who likes music/rhythm games.

Very fun game for all ages!
This game is a very fun play for anyone, even people who don't read Japanese! My 12 year old brother is a big fan even though he can't read a lick of the language its written in. For the RPG part there are plenty of guides online so that's no worry. The best part is local 4 player 1 card multiplayer so even if your friends don't have the game you can all still play!

Good product but misrepresentated by PA
Warning! It is NOT the gold sticks version as pictured by PA. It is the regular blue and red sticks version instead. You have been warned...
Spoilt an otherwise 5 star rating.

I thought I'd seen it all. But then... a Taiko RPG?!
Taiko no Tatsujin DS 3 takes the same structure of the two games that came before but adds 50 new songs from a wide variety of genres (there's anime themes, game music, classical, J-pop and more) and switches out the Story Mode for a brilliant new RPG mode that sees you travelling across Japan defeating evil spirits, with random battles, inns and all the other RPG trappings you'd expect. The customization of both your instrument and character is still in there, as is the single-card multiplayer and Daily Mode. If you loved the previous games, this is a no-brainer. If you haven't played them yet and you like rhythm games of any kind, this is an ideal place to experience the Japanese craziness that is Taiko no Tatsujin. And as an added bonus, this game includes GOLDEN DRUMSTICK STYLII, a nice change from the Red and Blue sets of previous games.
NOTE for non-Japanese-speakers (like me): Basic gameplay is super easy to grasp, even though the tutorial is Japanese. Likewise, navigating menus is easily done. However, the RPG Mode has a LOT of text. This (may) be a problem as you progress further, though I'm sure there's plenty of guides out there.
