Slowly awakening from a blast to the side of your ship, your memory is jumbled and you can't remember what just happened or what you're doing in this sector. Instinctively, you check your console; a destination is still plugged in. You must take action; the enemy is starting to swarm.

Great Shooter Excellent graphics, but very challenging game. Be prepared to die very often :D
I didn't see a single word of japonese in the entire game except on the title screen and with the addition of the X button to select weapon it surely is the best version of the game.

This is the better Nanostray. Much to the joy of foreigners all over Japan, Taito did what is probably the most minimal translation job for a video game ever. All they did with regards to translation was change the title graphic from Nanostray to Danshaku. Other than that, it's all in English (Then again, there may be more Japanese if I switch my DS language setting).
What Taito lacked in translation, though, is forgiven by what I consider to be the single and most important improvement for the game: the assignment of the Y button as the "Switch Weapons" button.
As far as I know, in the original Nanostray, you needed to touch the screen to switch to a weapon. In Danshaku, you could cycle through the weapons by pressing the more convenient Y button. It's a small change, but definitely a big step forward in ergonomics.
That's why I'd recommend Danshaku over Nanostray any day.

Super Shooter Game I can confirm that this Japanese version of the game is for all non Japanese very easy to understand. Shinen itself said to me, Nanocodes and rather the most part of the game is in English. So buy that pretty piece of German software.

Does so many things right. Great game. Beautiful environments and challenging gameplay blew me away. Its story is quite short but a good shooter regardless. Lots of replayability to keep coming back for more.

Really good portable shooter! This game has amazing graphics considering that it is on the nintendo ds. I recommend this for any shooter fan.
