Heart Gold is the sequel to the Pokemon Fire Red/ Leaf green released in 2004 on Game Boy Advance. 3 years after the initial defeat of the Rocket Organization, a new hero is setting off on a new journey in the Jouto area. Receiving a pokemon from the researcher Dr. Utsugi, off you go on your adventures and meet all the pokemon and challenges.
The Rocket Organization who has been using pokemon as tools back in the Kanto area are back. What are they aiming for this time? Can you become the hero to save the day? Train your pokemon in the gyms, enter the pokemon league and duel with the gym leaders to earn badges. Aiming at the top place in the pokemon trainer world, off you go!
Train your pokemon as you walk. Take the pokemon walker with you wherever you go. The more steps you take, the more experience your pokemon become. Use the infrared device to put your strengthened pokemon into the game world in your DS.
More legendary pokemon are showing up. Tame Ho-oh, the fiery phoenix in Heart Gold.
I came home, opened the mail, checked my package and what did I find Pokemon heart gold just waiting for me to pop it into my ds and start reliving my great johto journeys. Lets start with grapics, well if you played the other ds pokemon games then grapic-wise no changes really. The story is great, you run all over johto as you battle gym leaders you were just dying to defeat again, the story is not hard to understand seeing as how there is no kanji, people who studyed katakana and hiragana will be able to beat this game, laugh it off, then crush there pokemon rivals online or in link play as they say "how do you know what your doing?" as for the gameplay......well what can I say if you played one pokemon game you played them all. Although the gameplays the same as always this is my fav in the series, lets also not forget that now the pokemon follow you too as your on your journey, I mean who DOESNET want HO-HO following behind you as all the computeriazed people look in shock in aww at the trainer who got HO-HO.With all regions pokemon up for grabs and two regions to run back and forth, you will be up playing pokemon heart gold (or soul silver O.o)......all night long.

Amazing! Pokemon HeartGold, a brilliant remake of the Gold version, is rich in graphics and music. Despite being in Japanese only, with the aid of online guides, it is easy to follow, especially if you've played the original prior. This is particularly recommended for anyone looking to practise their Hiragana and Katakana or even just conversational Japanese.
In terms of shipping, Play-Asia are fantastic. After placing an order on a Thursday evening, I was notified to expect the game's arrival the following Tuesday, and instead received it a day early.

Better than ever A remake that was well done. The music is better and the graphics are just awesome when the Gen IV engine is used. Kanto is more simplified in HG/SS and way better and easier.

A Success. Pokémon HeartGold, the revival of Gold version, is an example of how the Pokémon games are some of the few games that can be remade, improved, and still come out and become just as awesome as the first time. Pokémon HeartGold has so many positives, such as the Pokéthlon, Red, the Shinto Ruins, and a redesigned Pokégear, and a nice little addition called the Pokéwalker. I personally believe that Nintendo would be crazy to say Pokémon has no future, and that's the truth.
