very good game from the first season of Naruto. Good music and graphics. Recommended.

Good at first, boring at last, but still a COOL game!
A GREAT game for smashing and fighting bosses and completing challenging missions! But the graphics weren't that good, ninja council 6 had awsome right in your face graphics!!! But this game doesn't, you also get board of it quick!!! But the good thing is that you get like 30 characters to choose from, including the sound ninja five!!! The techniques are COOL, but I recommand getting a cooler shippuden game!!! But if your a naruto part 1 fan, you would love this game!!! I am still trying to sell this game though... it is hard to sell man!

Pretty good
its a really good game, but now that shippuden is out, nobody will even think about getting this game. I played a 20 something hours in like 5 months because the story mode was short and there was no free vs mode, which i was kinda upset about and there was no wi-fi battle system

the game isnt bad but it isnt good if you dont like the anime you probaly wont like it save your money and buy a better ds game unless you just really have the spare cash that doesent matter what you spend it on good amound of charcters but missions are stupid only fun when you acually have a boss to fight.

I love this game, but I'm stuck on the C-Rank. I don't know what to do at the misson in a broken down warehouse I think, and the one with the little thugs with the big swirling metal balls. Other wise its awesome with no boundries. Anybody who loves Naruto WILL LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

This game rocks! I mean you can do summoning jutsu by making blood marks with the stylus! And you can use Fire Ball Justsu by blowing into the mic!

At first i thought this game was great. but then as you progress through it, you realise you are very limited in the things you can do. If you are looking for a more fighting game then i recomend bleach ds. However if you are a naruto fan, then this is recomended for you.

This is a great game, nice character sprites and plenty of character unlockables. A must have for any Naruto fan!

i just finished the game and there was nothing really exciting. The missions were fun, but overall a little too plain. after finishing the single player, there are no mini-games or vs modes, so there isn't much to do other than playing the game all over again. my only other option is to play multi player but the other player must have a game cartridge as well. the game was a little too easy. in total, i used 6 hrs and 55 minutes to finish the game. a bit short if you ask me.

really fast, definitely, came in 3 business days. The graphics are quite nice, but could be better. Its all in japanese and i can't read japanese but it's quite straight forward so i wouldn't worry. I used a quide from gamefaqs and everything is going well so far, even though i haven't managed to figure out all the jutsu's yet. I haven't tried other similar games but for 24.90 and cheap shipping, i'd give it a shot.

This game is great!
i was worried about having to have 2 cards to play multiplayer, but by luck a frined from school happens to also have it, so we play VS alot which is great.

At first i was lost but as soon as i got the Guide it was very fun! controls are nice, id likea few more moves to do but its still great. and i only paid 26 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is simply fantastic. Great graphics, awsome music, great gameplay and sound. Obviously its kinda hard to follow because i dont read japanese, but i love naruto and understand the story so i get by, i love it! next up is jump super stars for me..........

I recently had ordered this 2 weeks ago and I have played this on my DS. I have unlocked every character in only 2 days. May get boring, but being a Naruto fan I still like playing this, going through the action missions and the boss missions with the characters is awesome, since there is alot of characters to choose from when it is 100% complete! For a 24.90 + Ups shipping, it's a pretty good game! Thanks play-asia! This is one of my best DS games ever! I will soon be getting Bleach DS and Pokemon Pearl from here!

AWESOME!!!!
This game looked fun at first, but after playing for a few minutes, I was hooked!!! It's a fun game, and it has ALOT of characters. Of course, after beating it, it does get a little boring. I go back and replay the bosses with all of the characters. It has 2 player (but not download play). My friend got it and we played non-stop for hours. Even if your the only one that gets it, you will still love it. BUY IT NOW!!!!!

the game is very easy to beat after you know what your doing. Its awesome that you could play other people and fight them with all these news characters. gets boring after a while but its worth it.

So-So, not really amazing, not really terrible
Alright, so I'll make one thing clear, I hardly watch Naruto. I pretty much know your basic protagonist and antagonist. I hardly know Japanese either. So yeah, you CAN play this game if you know little about Naruto or Japanese.

This game is rather repeatitive. You play 68 missions, each one is pretty simillar. You simply fight and fight until you win. The game is pretty challenging at times. The controls may seem confusing or ineffective at first, the games physics start to make sense later in.

The game really has no story... You play the missions, but you choose your character. You can consider it more of a fighting game than an RPG or Sidescroler.

The versus mode is VERY dissapointing. You can't fight one on one with CPU. It has to be with a friend. Your friend also needs to have the game... Major drawback.

The fighters and the few parts of story there are are from all the way up to episode 135.

Could have been better
While the previous entries in this series were platform games, this game utilizes a poor mission based progression system. The actual missions are rather dull, the hit detection is particularly disappointing, and the fact that players can use the kawarimi constantly without penalty to their chakra meter is frustrating. The music and graphics are great though. At the current sale price, the game is a good buy, especially with so many characters and jutsus, but once you beat it there is little left to play for.

Well, It's my First Saikyou Ninja Daikesshu...
But i had a REALLY great time with this game! This is the first game that kept me up 'till 2:50 a.m.!
I have yet to play Vs. Mode, but I suspect that that will only make it better!
35 characters or so... almost as much as the latest GC naruto game!

No wonder the price dropped
I'm very upset at Tomy for this one. I own all 4 side-scrolling Naruto games and this one is almost as bad as the first one. The control scheme is much worse than the third one (which was great) and the enemies are cheaper in a dumber way. The plain small ninja knocks you over just by running into you (the third one they threw punches) and you can't attack if you're running. Meaning you litterally need to run then stop before you can throw a punch. You cannot throw weapons in the air either (another drop in control quality) which makes taking out bats and other things very difficult. The multiple characters feature is nice, but at what cost? Also in order to perform a special, your character holds absolutely still for a good chunk of time before running and trying to grab the enemy; giving them plenty of time to move out of the way or attack you which still drains chakra. So I'll conclude by stating that you might enjoy this one if you just got into the series, but I'd recomend starting with part 2 f/GBA then 3. And the gung-ho Naruto fans will still buy this game which I understand, just beware of the controls

Pretty decent so far.
This is my first Naruto game. So far the gameplay is fun, but the timed missions for destroying objects is kinda bland. Otherwise it's good though, worth the $25.00

.... pissed off the vs mode is well... non existant.. you need other ppl to play with, which is unfortunate since i don't do that.

Missions are good and diverse.. you get a whole bunch of characters.. some characters have additional jutsu.. i.e kakasi summoning the dogs. All the previos jutsu's are changed a bit which was nice. Just hate the fact that there is no one player versus mode.. that dumbed the game down a lot.

Misleading Useless Cheap Rubbish
If you thought this game would be better than the previous simply because it has more characters and a much-promoted 'versus mode', think again. The versus mode is only for multi-cart play, and everyone has to have a copy of this game. Say goodbye to the possibility of pitting your favorite characters against each other in an arena of your choice, unless you know someone who has this game (I can't imagine) and is willing to play it with you (ditto). Why they failed to include this is beyond me. Apparently they think with a HANDHELD game you'll simply be surrounded with people just waiting to challenge you at a random game of your choice. Because of course people don't play handheld consoles while on the bus, train, car, or waiting around away from friends or anyone they know.

The promotions surrounding this game were dishonest, and sparse enough to try and garner interest. Don't be fooled; it's just the third game with some more characters, which are mainly just different sprites and that's it. It's not very different, it's still terrible, and it doesn't even give you the ability to do the versus mode it was bragging so much about without having someone else around to do it with you. A huge waste of money and time. Get Narutimate Hero 3 instead.
