I don't know a single word in Japanese or even how to read Japanese characters, but this is one game I would NOT pass up, regardless of your knowledge. The camera is sleek and works with a Lite and a standard DS, and the quality is surprisingly great! It even comes with a stand to prop your DS up.
Otona no DS Kao Training or Face Training, is a game that utilizes a camera type device to help you excercise the muscles in your face to give you a more toned look.
Another one of those I don't speak Japanese, and I am not familiar with the culture and social mores, so I am not quite sure what this is for. Are there a lot of Japanese that don't smile and walk around with stoic expressions 24/7? Or is there an epidemic of flabby facial muscles in Japan? Those are the only two reasons I can see for this training device. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a really neat DS release and the best of its kind - alright, the ONLY one of its kind! I love the peripherals (camera and stand), which is why I purchased it. It is interesting to use, but I can't help but think that it is unfortunate that they didn't design more games to take advantage of the camera peripheral. You can always use the stand for games like Hotel Dusk, but the camera could have been put to lots of uses. Oh well. Buy it on sale - it is a cool, and unusual addition to your collection.

Perfect! Like Brain Age with your face! I don't know a single word in Japanese or even how to read Japanese characters, but this is one game I would NOT pass up, regardless of your knowledge. The camera is sleek and works with a Lite and a standard DS, and the quality is surprisingly great! It even comes with a stand to prop your DS up.
The game works just like Brain Age, if you've played it. You do a few exercises each day, and stamp a calender as you go. You have options to do other fun exercises too. You can also unlock fun tools like an animator!
The gameplay itself is pretty good. It uses unique facial feature detection, and locates every part of your face as need be. It has a "guide" face that shows you what to do (helpful for English-speaking folk like me), so you can go along with it. At the end of the exercise, it'll show where you need to improve, or it will point out when you're not smiling! (a funny feature, i'd say)
Anyways, get this game. It's just awesome. It's fun to show to people, and it's fun to play by yourself. It's a great peripheral too. I highly recommend it!
