Improved The basic gameplay of this sequel is the same as the first game: Travel from town to town, buying low and selling high, making a profit. You have one year to take a ship to the North, where you will start searching for Horo's hometown of Yoitsu. While it might take a while to familiarize yourself with the game system, after you learn the basics the game will open up. Other than buying, transferring and selling goods, you have to solve the conspiracy the church has set up, preventing access to the North. As Kraft Lawrence, you will travel with Horo and one of the other women featured in the Spice and Wolf world: Nora the shepherd (who also appeared in the anime, season one), Eve the merchant (who appeared in anime season two) or Luca, the local fisherman's daughter.
Although the game is in Japanese and knowledge of it (and of the Spice and Wolf universe) is required, most of the dialogue (especially important dialogue) is spoken, featuring anime seiyuus. Take note that unlike many other game adaptions, also Kraft Lawrence has a voice.
The game is fun to the fans of the series, but otherwise should exercise caution before purchase.

Merchant meets spicy wolf again Well if you played Ookami to koushinryou 1 you wil be right at home in the sequel, If not heres the breakdown. Travel from village to village buying low and selling high. If that doesn't sound interesting enough heres the best part- Horo. That's right, its part oregon trail part dating sim. Unlockable story based images, several endings, and a nice amount of voicework make this more then a mediocre barter game. The downside is, without a large grasp of japanese it is difficult to get the full experience however for fans its a great way to get more out of this compelling series. The limited edition was also amazing. Boasting a horo ds case, the game, a small soundtrack, a large almost person sized poster, and a gorgeous display box this limited edition was worth every penny to a hardcore spice fan. It is obviously not a game everyone will like, but people looking for another great experience with Horo and the spice and wolf universe will not be disappointed.
