Chokkan Hitofude is an elegantly simple and stylish puzzle game designed to be played entirely with the Nintendo DS touch screen and a stylus.
Use the stylus to draw a stroke, flipping black and white tiles to change and match colors. Three game modes and scores of puzzles will put your puzzle-solving and stylus skills to the test. You can even challenge a friend to a duel over a wireless connection!
A fun game, but only for the puzzle mode. The puzzle mode in this game is fantastic. Basically, you have to turn one set of tiles over to match the colour of the other tiles. Sounds simple, but the catch is that you can only turn the tiles over in one turn, so you must drag your stylus around, trying to figure out how to touch all the right tiles while avoiding the other ones, like a maze but... different.
The developers managed to create a hundred puzzles based on this concept, each getting more tricky, challenging and entertaining.
It's just a shame that the rest of the modes are terrible. The other main mode is a Tetris variant, where tiles fall down and you try to turn tiles over to clear lines of the same colour. It just doesn't work and the developers time would have been better spent creating more puzzles for the puzzle mode, or more varients of that mode.
Still, puzzle mode really is entertaining and worth the (rather cheap at the time) price of entry alone, making this a nice portable puzzler. I just wish more puzzles were included.

EXCELLENT PUZZLE GAME THAT'LL ENTERTAIN FOR HOURS. This is so addictive, once you pick it up you'll be playin for an hour atleast. You will lose track of time in this game. It didn't look like much before I actually started playing it. This is one of my favourite DS games.

Not the best Haven't had a chance to try multi-player, but the single player mode is a little too difficult. Not the challenging, fun kind of difficult, but the frustrating, stupid kind. And the built-in "checkmate" puzzles aren't too challenging once you start to get a feel for it. Music and graphics are pretty well done, and it's a clever idea overall, but doesn't really hold up too well.

Fun This is an enjoyable game and nice to pop in every once in a while. The music can be a bit annoying if you play too long. This is an excellent and challenging puzzle game and I recommend you at least try it if you are a puzzle fan.
